10,000%- I fully expect him to sign with Nebraska now.
I'd love to see statistics on how many 100% committed prospects sign vs. how many >100% committed prospects sign. I'm guessing the 100% crowd is much more committed.

Call me pessimistic, but looking at the top 10 on 247, I do not see how we will achieve that in the near future. 1 five star and 17 four stars would be crazy tough in a class of 20 (Penn St. this year). I think top 15-18 every year is more achievable and what we need. Get some playmakers at CB and on the edge each year... those positions are huge in CFB.
We're always going to be grabbing local guys with lower ratings (overlooked, don't go to camps, development, whatever), so having a class of 22 or so, with five being localish three stars, and getting top ten is a pipe dream. Doesn't mean a bad class though!
Even in a large class of 27, #9 Clemson has 1 five star, 12 fours and 14 threes. We are at 0-6-20.

And neither did Bryce.
Sorry, it was there for the taking.

You certainly don't send three people to tell him you're not interested when a phone call will do.

Interesting edit showing the adidas logo in the bottom left next to the N, then leaving two of his high school UA logos in there.

Pelini in the pic is one thing, but the parenthesis around the n? Just say "an"

Writing on the wall I guess. They must have a whole lot of confidence in a guy they've never seen play meaningful D1 football or next to no confidence in Tate.
I’m guessing it is more about Tate thinking he won’t be the starter and not OSUs thoughts at this point. I would imagine Ohio State wants both of them there.

Yep, if your HC bails on you you can bail too. It is really simple actually and puts a little skin in the game for everyone involved instead of just the athletes
Sounds good in theory until 40 guys leave and there’s just 45 left and you can’t play next fall.

Recruits: If you're going to do that hat game, do it like this kid. None better.

Having the offer pulled is relevant when talking about whether they picked us over the home state school because they didn't have the choice to go to the home state school.
This. Kinda what this whole thread has been about!

Clemson may offer. They are hosting him today. Another “project” that a top 3 school doesn’t want to leave their state. Still visiting this weekend.
Was curious to look up how many SC kids are committed to Clemson. Just one. A three star LB who's #11 in the state. Crazy.

edwards.... you know I coached Payton Manning right? Sure he did most of the coaching but I was there. I took a long time off and I only have a few years left but I think you’d be a good player. Did I mention I coached Payton Manning?
I challenge anyone to read this in a non-Herm Edwards voice.

When they visit recruits does Verdu ask for an ash tray and Frost a plastic bottle?

Preface by saying that I am NOT coming at you at all.
But this argument always pops up and it is exhausting. Of course no one is saying we want to lose to Bama forever. Of course no one is saying we will never be able to compete with Bama for recruits so we might as well not try.
But reality sets in and it is 2018 and for right now, until we can win more than 4 games in a season, we'll take what we can get. Expectations ebb and flow in sync with program performance.
I hear ya and I don’t mean to bring up an exhausting thread. Just pumpin a little sunshine for the future. I think we will compete down the road.
Moving on from this discussion...

All I’m saying is if we always settled for second that will be our ceiling. I’d love to see us build to the point that we compete for their plan A players and get some.

ESPN says we have a 98% chance of winning. I feel like I've heard that from them before...

I was thinking Spielman isn’t our #3. Totally forgot about Kade Warner.
So... two out of our top three fit the bill.
JD’s dad Rick Spielman never played in the NFL. His uncle did.

On ESPN right now. Just threw the bones. Had an INT earlier.

Yes, 247. That’s what Waldo was using in the initial post.
