My point was that his success as a college football HC got him hired at Carolina.  Callahan hadn't been a college football HC when he landed his NFL job so he isn't a good comparison.  Riley had 2 years of college HC experience before San Diego but he also had 12 additional years at Oregon State after San Diego for us to evaluate him on.

I think Dallas is still a pretty good spot for him.  They have plenty of open roster spots at the moment and he was there only draft pick so he should have a path to making the roster and should be a developmental priority for them.  Carlisle is a great coach and should be capable of helping Roby reach his full potential.

He's had much more than just one great year.  He made the tournament every year except the last two and has been to 4 CWS.

I think it's difficult to argue that the right to life is the ultimate trump card for a country that lacks universal healthcare and has the death penalty.  Controlling what a person can do with their own body should be part of the discussion regardless of where you fall on that issue.  For example, if the right to life really trumps all we should make kidney donations mandatory for compatible donors in cases where the potential recipient will die without one.  The potential recipient's life being at stake if they don't receive a kidney would trump any consideration of the donor's right to choose what they do with their own body since the donation most likely wouldn't jeopardize their right to life.

I think Trump certainly deserves to be impeached but I agree with the Dems decision on holding off on impeachment.  Based on what is known now, there is no way the Senate would vote to convict so the only thing impeachment would accomplish is helping him win the 2020 election.

He announced April 30, 2015 and polled around 10% in most polls shortly after his launch so not much but still significantly more than Yang's current polling of around 1%.  I agree that Yang does have some similar internet popularity but I still think it's unlikely that he gets much traction in this race.  Voters seem to be placing a big emphasis on electability this election and Sanders appears to be retaining most of his hardcore supporters that might otherwise consider voting for Yang.

I really don't understand the opposition to Burrow.  Assuming Vedral doesn't receive a waiver, our current QB group is a redshirt freshman that was recruited for a different offense, a true freshman that didn't play his senior year of high school, and a walk-on that didn't receive any major offers out of high school or juco.  Burrow has ties to Nebraska and appears to be holding his own in a tough QB competition at an elite program.  If Frost believes Burrow is a good fit and provides a potential upgrade to our QB group and Burrow is willing to come in and compete for the job, than I think he'd be a good addition.

First 3 don't really scare me, Purdue will hold serve, maybe step back in year 2 when people aren't surprised. Illinois is trash, Minnesota is blah, and NW is going to go backwards this season without JJ. That's not exactly a hard stretch to say we win those games, and that puts you at 7.  Then you steal 1 from Michigan, Wisconsin, MSU, or Iowa (OSU ain't happening), and you can get to 8.

 

 

I agree with the bold being probable wins but I think it's much more likely that we drop one of the bold than that we steal 1 of the others.  With the possible exception of Iowa, all those teams will be ranked going into the season and 4 of those 5 games are on the road.  I'd take the under if the win total is set to 6.5 or above.

It's the contrast between the two that has UCF fans feeling betrayed. 

1) Nothing comes to mind but I normally don't pay attention to that unless Nebraska is involved.

2) PJ Fleck and Chris Peterson took almost their entire staff and I know at least Fleck took a ton of recruits.  In any case, when a coach doesn't bring an assistant over it's almost always because they either want to hire someone better or because the assistant chooses to remain at the program/go somewhere else.  I've never heard of a head coach not taking an assistant that he otherwise could have because he didn't want to leave his previous program in a bad spot.  Personally, I think leaving behind a staff member that contributed to his success and that wanted to follow him to Nebraska would have been a bigger jerk move than taking them.

I heard it second hand from someone on reddit that read Schaefer's 247 post.  Schaefer has now clarifed it in a tweet as well.

Likely the first of many ADs that are going to lose their jobs over the FBI's investigation.  It may behoove Nebraska to make a hire sooner rather than later if they want to avoid competition.

Well, I think that's just because she's from Naath, and Davos isn't as well-traveled. This is just an encounter between two people of vastly different cultures. It's kind of strange to me actually that Davos can be in such good spirits generally -- the show needs him to be -- given what's transpired to his family.
