  1. The first Top 25 is up at Fanspoll. Not too bad overall. If you haven't signed up yet it's not too late. And they've added a prize for the weekly winner of the pick'em contest: a $50 Best Buy Gift Card, so jump in and submit your picks for this week. 1. Texas 2. USC 3. Ohio State 4. LSU 5. Michigan 6. 2. For those of you who signed up for Fanspoll, the weekly pick'em game is up for Week 1. All you need to do is go to the homepage, http://www.fanspoll.com, login using the same user ID and password as you use on the forums and it will take you to the Nebraska team page. There you can make your selections and submit them. Remember, every week that you submit your picks gives you another entry in the drawing for the Chevy Tahoe as well as giving you a chance to represent the Husker Nation in the final poll. And if you haven't signed up, there's still time to join up. We'd love to have you.
  3. No, it's not just a message board. It's just what it's called: a fans poll. The message boards are just for fun and interaction. The main thing is the weekly pick'em contests that will decide who gets to represent their school in the final poll to decide the national champion. They'll also have a weekly Top 25 throughout the year, coverage each week on CSS and other TV and radio outlets, and an awards show at the end of hte year for the national title as well as other awards voted on by the fans for teams and individual players and coaches.
  4. No, actually the Tahoe is given away in a drawing. You get one entry just for registering at Fanspoll. Then, every week that you fill out the weekly pick'em and enter it, you get another entry. They couldn't make it be an award for the winner of the pick'em...something about making it a game of skill ran afoul of various state laws regarding gambling, lotteries and such.
  5. Hey guys. Newbie here. I'm an Auburn fan and help run an AU board called AUNation. I wanted to share something with you and just so you know, I checked with Blackshirt first. Didn't want anyone to think that I was spamming you guys. I wanted to let Nebraska fans know about a website that's doing something pretty cool. It's called Fanspoll.com and it's basically a way for the fans of all 119 Division 1A schools to vote on a national champion in football at the end of the year. Here is a brief synopsis of how this came to be: http://www.fanspoll.com/frmFAQ.aspx The quick version is that they want fans from all of the 119 Div 1A schools. The fans will participate in weekly pick'em contests for that week's games. At the end of the year, the fan from each school that did the best in the pick'em contests will represent their school as a voter in the final poll. It's completely free to register and participate. I don't have any financial stake in the site. I'm just trying to help spread the word about it. Chevrolet is a corporate sponsor and is giving away a 2006 Tahoe in a drawing and you get an entry just for registering and for each week you participate in the pick'em contest. We have a few Huskers there already, but really want to get good participation from each school, so we need more of you as well as more of your conference brethren. If you have any questions, I'll answer them the best I can. And if you like what you see, spread the word, especially to some of your conference rivals. Thanks so much! http://www.fanspoll.com
