Seven of the nine Gators players facing recommended third-degree felony chargesfrom the University of Florida Police Department for using stolen credit card information to make unauthorized purchases were offered pre-trial interventions that essentially amount to probation. If those players meet requirements laid out by the State Attorney’s Office, the recommended felony charges would be dismissed.
Telfort and defensive lineman Jordan Smith were not among that group of seven as they faced too many recommended charges — up to 30 in Telfort’s case for 13 counts of use of another person’s credit card without consent, 12 counts of fraud-illegal use of credit card, four counts of possession of a forged instrument, and one count for fraud/obtaining property for under $20,000.
This is from 4 months ago, but your tweet is from September.Interesting, looked a little more and saw he charged a little over a thousand to the bookstore and then the food delivery stuff.
Id be extremely pissed if my money was Stolen, so I have no sympathy for the action.
My Tweet was just to show what some of the purchases were.
He still only got a fine and probation. I have no problem with the Huskers accepting him into the program if he follows guidelines and isn’t a hinderance to the culture we’re building.

Seems a bit concerning that 7 of the 9 got probation but he might have been one of the worse of the 9 in terms of using the information.
I am all for second chances, but this seems to be a pretty big character flaw. This wasnt shoplifting a candybar.
I trust the staff will do their homework but I dont think they recruited him previously, so not sure what they are going off of.
I only know what I read online but I would rather have class/high character guys and this just doesnt fly with me.
Where do you see he was one of the worst? He’s been charged with a third degree felony (lowest in Florida). And his punishment was 2 years probation and a fine.

Some conflicting statements - will he be eligible to play in August or have to wait until our Conference Championship() game?
He’s a 2019 class kid. He was at Florida last year, now he’s at junior college. He will be able to play for the Husker’s the 2019 football season. Without sitting out.
if he were to come directly to Nebraska right now he would have to sit out a year.

Wouldn't he have to sit out a year?
No. He’s at juco right now. Will be available in December because he qualified out of high school.

Posting this in here too.
“Both Telfort and Smith pled no contest to one third-degree felony charge of scheming to defraud, according to Alachua County court records. They each received two years of probation and must pay $521 in court costs.”

I love Moos setting the tone, calling them out. Now we have to back it up. You know we will.
One of the best turn arounds of a team I ever personally saw, the coach came in and took a 1-9 team to 10-2 his first year. That coach told his players to go home and tell mom and dad that the team was going to be good this year. Then he told them to battle (war, really) in practice every day to back it up.
They did.
David Hasselhoff?

What’s your opinion on credit card fraud?
personally I’m fine with it, if there’s been lessons learned and they fit in to the team culture.
People deserve second chance.
GBR. Have a good night.

I know his rating is not high right now. But for those talking about natural talent right now. The guy says he is running a 10.7 right now as a junior. He could be in the 10.5 range a year from now as a senior track guy. On what planet is that not an elite athlete
Mars probably, since it only has about 38% of the gravity the Earth does.
But yeah I agree for an Earthling that’s pretty good.

Correct
Heard his injury has something to do with trying to take a selfie with a raccoon.
