  1. i dont think he is looking to leave or would even consider but i would find out about buzz williams at marquette.

From a solid top 25 Big East program to Nebrasketball. That will be a short conversation.

This is going to be a tough position to fill with an AD working without a contract. I think many of you need to lower your expectations.

  2. Robinson comitted early and then decomitted. So... others? The only instate recruits that NU misses on are the ones that gets offers late in the process (prater bros.) or there's a coaching change. Not sure when Harland Gunn was offered in the process but he may be an one exception.

Robinson stung. There haven't been many get away, just like to see these 2 locked up before other schools start sniffing around.

  3. I will begin getting nervous if Minter and Banderas are not committed after junior days.

No need to worry, both their Dad's played at Nebraska. In MIchael's case he actually moved here to Lincoln to be closer to the program. Color me not owrried about either kid.

Of the 2 I am more worried about Banderas. Just seems like we haven't had a lot of luck with in-state kids that don't commit early. And I really want both of these kids.

  4. Its supposed to be nice next week too they can get some great outside practices in. Time to see Nebraska hosting regionals again! GBR!!

Not trying to calm your enthusiam for baseball, but it will be a very long time until any Big10 team is hosting a regional. Still a lot to be excited about.

  5. It has been a long time since I have cared any less about the NU basketball team.

Don't worry...one day, some year, they will start winning some games, crack the Top 25...and the bandwagon will be open for passengers.

I will happily hop onto that bandwagon. If I am still alive. Would love for Nebrasketball to give me something to be excited about.

  6. As fans it is easy to get excited about a big-name DC hire, but JP is deserving of the promotion and promoting him is the best move. Rumor out of Iowa is Kaz was told to seek other employment. I think he will bring some new ideas to the defense and work out well.

Not sure what to think of Pelini's name poping up all the time. I would like to dismiss the stories as rumor, just not sure.

  7. Here's a thought... JP moves to DC. Vince Marrow moves from grad assistant to full time assistant on the defensive line/special teams. The guy played 8 years in the NFL and has some college coaching experience. I am told he has been filling in as the 9th coach out recruiting... What if Bo brings him on full time?

I think most fans want the splash hire, Stoops. The above move is more what I expect, and I feel it has worked pretty well on the offensive staff.

  8. It's kind of fudging to have a playoff but refer to some rounds as "bowls." The sponsors aren't going to want to cough up the same amount of cash and goodies when it isn't the team's last game of the year.

And exactly how do you get the fans to take a month long vacation traveling to two to four different locations? Play home games? Would VaTech fans and players rather end their season in Boise or Miami? Problem solved.
