Forget "he's a nebraska guy". Forget "he's one of our own". Today's college football doesn't honor, nor reward loyalty. 

Sorry it didn't work out, Scott. At least you and your offspring will be set for life after this. 

It has been a very long time (years) since I have scheduled my Saturday mornings around Husker football games, because I work and am self employed.

I was really, REALLY close to doing that today, feeling that this year might be different, but I chose not to. I don't think I will for the rest of the season, either. I'm glad I didn't waste my time.

I'll be working. I will DVR the game and will inevitably catch in game notifications of what's going on.

In the last 10 or so years I stopped scheduling my days around Nebraska games. I hope this is the team to make me reverse that trend. I want to be fanatic again.

Even more fanatic than posting on A husker football message board after the worst season in half a century.

Oh my God, I know we were bad, but that is a whole different realm of bad. We weren't exactly playing the 85 Bears, either.

It still blows my mind with how bad, unlucky, call it whatever, our teams have been these last couple of years. 

Does the reorganization on offense this offseason get us over that hump? Given recent history, probably not.

On one hand, I feel like they could have just made the change without anybody noticing.

And on the other hand, I feel like the world has gone utter insane with people being offended by literally anything and everything and if that thing makes anybody uncomfortable for any reason, then we must cease said thing. 

It's all exhausting, really.

I've seen rumors of Brown being kept as an analyst for the team.

Personally, I say hire the guy as the RB coach. I think he has a really good way of getting the most out of guys. 

I'm over it now. It's been that way for me for quite some time. I don't dwell on the losses anymore. I really feel for the fans who are strongly emotionally attached to this team. I was one of them at one time and I can certainly be one again, but not now. They haven't given me anything in years.

The fact that NONE of these one score games went our way is all on Frost, not his players. Once again, we are the more talented team and once again, we find ways to lose the game.

If that was the last we see of Adrian Martinez in a Husker uniform, I'm not sure if there's another Husker player in history with the roller coaster career of 2AM.

If this is the end, I guess I just shrug and wish him the best. A guy with a heck of a lot of talent, but not the record to back it up. It's not entirely his fault, either.

Is this a stage of grief? If so, I'm probably here.

I mean, really, you couldn't have imagined this type of season for us.

Another week, another one score loss. 

I think if Betts would have really pleaded with the refs on the last play, that we would have gotten PI. 

That wasn't the play to lose us the game. We allowed a 17 year old to rip us a new one 

I'm willing to give AM a chance with the new coaches coming in.

If Adrian has a decent run game and an O Line that can halfway hold their own and block in the run game, he may get the help he needs to succeed like he did his freshman year.
