Is it just me, or is this RB room full, like overly full.

    SR Ozigbo

    SR Wilbon

    JR Bryant

    JR Bell

    JR Mazour

    SO Bradley

    FR Washington

    FR Ben Miles

Also getting a few carries a game:

    Miles

    Lindsey

    Spielman

Plus add in that the QB will be running the ball a little bit.

Not sure there are enough footballs to go around to keep everyone happy.

I think it's going to come down to:

Washington, Bell, Bradley, Miles Jones, Spielman, Lindsey with Bryant, Wilbon, and Ozigbo being given a chance, but I just don't think they'll be good enough all over the field. But, could be wrong.

Not gonna try to answer the first part. Your answer was pretty good.

For the body stuff, you could tell him most parts of a woman's body are heavily scrutinized, even especially as it relates to sex. I've rarely ever heard anyone make fun of the size of a man's thighs or pectoral muscles or ass. That, and there are things said about female genitalia too that I'm not getting into.

I don't think many women make fun of specific mens' penis sizes, unless they've gone through an ugly break up with that man.

They definitely do make fun of man boobs.

A lot of those dudes at the beach wearing shirts are doing so because someone has made one too many comments about 'moobs'.

I do, however, agree with the rest of your post. Women get tons of unwanted, unsolicited, and often critical comments not only from the media, but there peers as well, both men & women. Hell, some of the most hurtful things I heard back in high school were when 2 girls would get mad at each other. Nipple type/shape is another one I've heard frequently discussed.

  3. 1) Would be considered a major failure on Moos' part letting the 'Nebraska guy' else where, especially if it were related to money. Money will not be a problem, if anything we will overpay for many of the reasons people have listed above. Hot candidate. Nebraska guy. Fan base wants him. Track record of success and building a culture. Moos isn't going to start off that way.

    2) Moos feels that this program is fractured. He feels the fan base is fractured. He knows this is IT. This hire has to be on the MONEY. He also knows that the fan base has to be unified, and we overwhelmingly want Scott Frost as head coach. This would go a long, long way in uniting the fan base & rebuilding the culture and spirit that is Nebraska football. This alone is worth overpaying for as it relates to #1. Moos stated that he listens to the fans. The fans have made it clear what would make them happy. The media has proven this by repeatedly asking questions about Frost as well as fans showing up at UCF games. Moos sees this stuff.

Frost is the guy and has to be the guy.

  4. He ain't the only player on thin ice for burning the ganj. And you can bet he wasn't smoking alone for the last two years.

I really believe that all these players failing tests are because a) the college they went to babies them or were lenient, b) NFL teams don't really care THAT much if you're THAT good. c) personal belief, weed isn't heroin. Let it go but follow the rules. D) if Tyrann Mathieu can make it, he can.

He is also being mentored by Herm Edwards.

  5.

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but apparently McMullen might be moved inside..

    Wait, what?

Riley was asked about him, said he might be moved inside because he is 290 or so. Obviously still being evaluated and the lack of depth at DE makes it even more confusing..

  6. Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but apparently McMullen might be moved inside..

Don't like LBS covering the slot guy.. think that would be an ideal hybrid position for CJax. Run responsibility mixed with pass coverage principles..curious to see how he is used..

  7. Maliek is bigger and stronger and faster thanks to our new SC program.. I don't think anyone thinks he is the next Suh, but if you remember last year when scouts and big 10 people made the rounds, they always said Maliek stood out when they were there for Gregory..

He needs to grow some more as a player but if he doesn't regress he is a first day pick Imo.

  8.

It makes at least some sense to predict when you have a rough idea of what the team will be. Do we, right now?

They can't lose to Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota? These teams won last year.

They can't lose to Iowa? That was a very close game.

They can't lose to Northwestern? (Well, that would be surprising, I admit, but those teams are well coached, too.)

They can't lose to Miami and BYU?

If Tommy stays a 50% thrower, and the defensive front seven gets worked regularly?

I mean, they could also run the table or go 11-1. All those games are possible wins, too, of course.

I understand your point. But based on what we have done and what we know we're capable of there's just no excuse for anything less than a 9-3 regular season. I know it's a new staff and all, but it's not really about what could happen. I'm basing it on what will probably happen, or should happen.

We could go 2-10 too, but it's not gonna happen. It just aint.

Late to the party but I agree with this. Based solely on talent alone, we should win 8 games no matter what.

Hell, athletically we were (almost) step for step with USC.

The trick is having a coach that maximizes that talent...which, we only have room to improve after the previous staff..

  9. I worry the offense will not be as productive this year. TA is a terrible as a drop back passer. He cannot check down, has trouble with short routes, and is good for two to three bone-headed throws a game. Maybe this staff can help him improve his passing, but his strength is his running ability, and his ability to run the option. I think the defense will be greatly improved. Teams figured out Bo's scheme, and he was too stubborn to adjust even when a single player ran for 400 yards. Banker says he will let the D attack. It has to be better. We have 5 gimme games, so winning 9 should be feasible.

I guarantee you Tommy won't be starting if he is, as you say, a terrible passer.

  10.

It'd be nice if this hire had ties/connections to the B1G footprint, since no one on the staff does.

Nobody has Florida/Georgia either and I'd take that first.

True point, but honestly of the two, where is there going to be a higher success rate of pulling in kids

There is a lot of 3+ star talent in Florida and Georgia than there is in our realistic area.. plus, the LA pipeline helps with the south too..

    Ohio would be nice, though..

  11. What do some of you know about Foster, Farmer and Hannon? If I remember right, I just remember hearing how really strong and physical they are, especially Farmer and Foster.

Based off what you know of them, does anyone actually have a good feeling about the guard position? I guess I'm not sure what to expect. I think we may have some talent ready to make an impact with the proper coaching.

As far as center goes, Reeves should have been playing Center for quite some time now. I hope he locks it up this season. He seemed to do pretty well when given the chance.

Foster would've been in the two deep if they didn't yank him around with DT by midseason or so. Not bad to redshirt him anyway - not that he, or Farmer, for that matter, needed it physically.

Curious to see what happens with Nick Gates, the third member of last year's GREAT OL haul with that trio..

Still don't like Cross as a starter.. Wilbon, Taylor, Newby.. I don't know, curious to see how they use our deep back field. Taylor or Ameer Jr. (Wilbon).. I also think we might see Demornay in the back field..

Don't forget about Mick Stoltenberg at DE.

    @CoachJP_UNC: #Boom

Kind of an ironic twist to stick it to the program that gave an......ummm............relatively untested, un-known quantity a major opportunity at a major school a shot................

Big time lack of class from JP......

    I'm not surprised at all.

The majority of that former staff did a pretty good job of displaying their lack of class. Which is funny when you consider they preached about integrity more than any coaches I've ever seen.

What is wrong for a guy using a tag that they created to show the fans that the program just made an addition. Just bc they switch jobs they can still use boom. We have moved on and nebraskajustgotbetter. Not a big deal.

    Oh, ok...
