  1. Delayed his decision again.

Originally he was going to decision at the UAA Game on Jan. 5th, but now he has decided to instead wait and take one last official visit on 1/18/13 (probably UCLA).

Don't think this helps us as it gives UCLA more time to make a move.

A little late to the party.

sometimes the best parties are the ones you show up to at midnight.........

But UCLA isn't the party, they are a guest...you know, that douchebag guy with his collar popped and wearing sunglasses indoors that rolls in at midnight and TRIES to hook up with the girl that you have had a crush on since first grade.

A little bitter huh? Sorry dude, how was i supposed to know you had a crush on her since first grade. You probably should have made a move on her sooner. Btw, she knows what shes doing in the sack!! Wowza!!

  3. We just signed 3 Safeties in this class, plus are still looking at Willis plus we seem to be moving a CB to Safety. Almost over kill if you ask me. I wouldn't mind seeing a CB in this years class. I think Harvey will do fine, and since we will probably see Rose starting next year at CB, I wouldn't doubt if we see one of the CB's start next year at Safety. We have several good CB's and Safety would be a way to get that talent on the field. Cooper would add some depth.

Willis is a CB and would be the big fish we are trying to get. The kid's a stud.

If we get Willis.. he will be starting next year by at least 3 games in.

Maybe at Safety. Who is he going to start in front of Evans?? Evans is one of the leaders on defense. Jonathan Rose?? Rose has experience, and was rated just as high or close to what Willis was coming out of high school. Mitchell?? Mitchell has been our number one coverage guy all year on a defense, and our pass defense already is one of the best in the nation, and as a junior he will be even better, and I doubt any Freshman will be able to walk in and just take his starting job. We also have a lot of depth at CB and a lot of Seniors. If he wants to play significant time next year it would have to be at Safety. He is capable at excelling at both positions.

Yeah, I agree. IF WE LAND WILLIS, I don't see him starting a corner. We are just too deep there. We also have SBJ at corner, to go along with everything said above.

But lets get back to Benny...

  4. EZ is simply saying that because we look awfully thin at safety next year.

That position battle will be interesting to say the least. Do we even know who will be in that battle? C. Jackson, H. Jackson, Cooper?

Jackson, Cooper, Singleton, and I wouldn't be surprised if Gerry or McWilson are in the mix too. Then whoever moves from the CB position, I've heard possibly Green.

  5. I wasn't too high on this guy right out of the gate, I had guys like Toby, Hooks, and Russel ahead of him. But I don't really know why. Ben is a :star :star :star :star on every recruiting site except ESPN (where he is a high 3 star) and he has a very good offer list. Obviously he has impressed all of the recruiting sites and a lot of good programs from around the country. So heck, I'll jump on in the boat too. chuckleshuffle

  6. IMO, hitting these JUCO DTs would have turned a good-great season into a great-amazing season next year. Everyone knows the offense should be fine next year. On defense, the secondary is loaded with talent and our linebackers are going to be much more athletic and probably more skilled too (just less experienced). The defensive line should be better too. We keep Ankrah and we get the top JUCU D-end. At DT, we still have Randle (if he can get/stay healthy), Rome and a lot of young talent. But there is no denying that those JUCO DTs would have stepped in and given us elite talent at all three levels on defense. Is our season screwed because we missed on those guys? I say no. But we missed out on some elite talent at our weakest position on defense.

  7. People need to relax and get off this guys back. I give him more credit for postponing. This is a HUGE decision that will effect the rest of his life. He should take all the time he needs. This isn't him being a prima donna, this is him trying to make a very difficult decision.

  8. Warning....PURE speculation in this post.

    What if......

......He was going to go to Georgia but the only way they had room for him was if he enrolled in January. THEN, something happened with his school that makes that impossible. SOOOOO.......that then opens up everyone else that he was considering.

    AGAIN....PURE speculation.

I don't believe he was ever really considering Georgia...or at least not too seriously. I think you are thinking of Toby.

  9. Hold on a second folks....

Lavon Hooks' list of finalists has undergone another change.

The defensive tackle from Fulton (Miss.) Northeast Mississippi Community College added two schools to his list of finalists and eliminated Miami and Arizona State. Nebraska and Auburn are now back in the running to land the four-star prospect, ranked No. 15 in the ESPN Junior College 100.

"Nebraska, the coaching staff is great," the 6-foot-4, 295-pound prospect. "I know they have a good track record with putting guys in the league. It would be a great atmosphere. They've been sold out since I don't know when."

    Quite playing with my heart!!!

  10. Any word on how his visit is going?

He never made it. He had a wrestling tourney, which he dominated. He says that he will try to reschedule for as soon as possible. But with the holidays upon us, I wouldn't expect to see him here until after the new year.

  11. Ngata from the Ravens could have quite possibly single handedly saved Solich's job.

So would have Carl Crawford, different battle lost there

Actually, I have full confidence that both of those players would have kept Solich employed by the UNL.

Your mom could have as well. Bazinga

HAHA! That was great. On another note, I haven't been following recruiting but for a few years now, but didn't RGIII want N but we had Cody Green so we passed?

  12. KSU bound

KSU is putting together one heck of a class this year.

    Strongly disagree.

They have some pretty good talent in there. With Boyd and Ramirez plus all of the Iowa Western talent. I guess I jumped the gun saying that it was "one heck" of a class. But it definitely has a good amount of talent. (I would take ours with out a doubt over it)

Boyd is a talent. Truely unfortunate we couldn't get him. But as an IDUB alum and current volunteer assistant for the men's and women's soccer program, I would tell you that I don't think that we could have used any of the players that committed to KSU this past week.

Oh I agree, but that doesn't mean that they aren't talented. Nash is a very good DE, but he isn't the pass rushing end that we are looking for.

  14. How about some jet sweep next year. I hear its quite difficult to defend! :P

Problem with that play is that it only works maybe one time per game then the defense figures it out.

    oh really?...........really?

  15. your taking your (stalking) recruiting prowess to a whole new level EZ.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, cant remember the last time I just happened to be hanging out at the airport! lol Go get em EZ!!!

What are you talking about. The airport is a great place to find out where to order some Omaha Steaks.

i see the ads for Omaha Steaks and what not... but are they pretty or good or what not? im sure they taste better over there then if i order them and have them shipped thousands of miles to honolulu

They are pretty dang good IMO. I was spoiled with them for awhile, I had a neighbor how sold them and he would always sell them to me at his discounted price :P

And EZ, it isn't creepy or stalker-ish as long as you get good info and share it with us. Keep up the hustle!
