Nobody doesn't like Faux Pelini.
See what I did there?

Better or worse than death by noogie?

I'm in agreement with you, we should be good sportsmen, but there's opponents and then there's IOWA.
-
No Iowa?
Pretty sure we're not allowed to make fun of Iowa for at least a year.
Agreed. It's like the guy you just knocked out waking up in an hour in the ER and instantly calling you a pu&&y. Just shut up. Win then talk. They not only beat us, they kicked our ass in our house. I repeat, in our house. I don't like Iowa either, but they are the better football team this year. They proved it.
NO, stop saying words, lalalala I can't hear you...!

Oh I'm not making fun. It's an interesting psyche-out technique.
As an art teacher, I like to use the Iowa locker-room thing when I teach color theory, because red is actually a color that has been shown to stimulate the mind (basically doing the opposite of blue, which has a calming effect.) Since pink is just a tint of red, the pink locker room would theoretically "amp up" the opposing team.
I also liked to argue this to my Iowa fan ex-boyfriend, who, like all Iowa fans, was kind of a jerk.

Is that you, Adam?
I just came in here to write the same thing!

I thought it was Asante with the horse collar, not Suh. Or have I been spitefully calling him "horse collar Asante" for no reason this whole time??

First smiling at the bowl game, now this? Someone get Bo a Mister Rogers sweater.

I can't wait to see the "bump when drunk" thread top of the forum on Saturday nights, then this thread blazing ahead Sunday morning.

I went there once, but as I don't like onions there was about nothing on the menu that appealed to me. But the place is neat, I feel like it someone were willing to invest the money to restore the place and add variety to the menu it would still have a chance.

Clemson. 2nd team behind NU I pull for. Wife Clemson grad. Don't like Urban.
I keep reading this like it's a telegram.

I think 1. is pretty clearly food/clean water supply and 2. is pretty clearly disease prevention/healthcare. Hugely widespread problems even in developed countries.
from there 3. religious/ideological conflicts, 4. Education, 5. slavery/sex slavery, 6. Ed Cunningham, 7. Women's rights
Women agree.

To me, the three biggest problems in the world are the three most important things to combat within each individual.
Lack of education or respect for education (ignorance)
Lack of regard for the lives and experiences of others (selfishness)
Lack of self efficacy, lack of belief that you matter and can make a difference (hopelessness)

Yeaah, I always have a bit of the very fine stuff at the bottom.

I wait four minutes, and I can't remember why four minutes is my go-to time. If you're getting grounds still, possibly pushing the plunger down too fast, causing grounds to get through the seal around the edge? That's the only thing I can think of. Is it big grounds or just the fine sludge?

Read "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood last week, now re-reading "The Hiding Place" By Corrie Ten Boom. An interesting juxtaposition.
Edit: Here's a picture of a book for continuity's sake.

I went with the Northwestern catch as well, and purely because it was more dramatic. To me, it does seem like it was more "lucky" than the catch against Georgia, one of those things that just goes right, whereas the Georgia catch was more truly indicative of our team's skills.

Eh, I don't harbor a ton of loyalty for the Big Ten yet. I know I should, and probably will one day, but I'm still rooting for them (Iowa aside) for the selfish reason that it makes us look a bit better. And if it makes the SEC look overrated, even better.

NICE PENETRATION!!!

I used to watch Duck Dynasty, until I got a cheaper cable package. It's hard to really know a person from what we see of them on TV, but he seems like a pretty genuine guy. I don't begrudge him his opinions, but he did himself no favors in the way he expressed them. I don't think he's a hateful person, but his words in this interview seem harsh. As a Christian, I can see what he was trying to say, but it makes me cringe, especially what he said about pre-civil rights. You can't expect people not to want those kind of statements expounded upon. His opinion on homosexuality can't be a surprise to A&E, though.

They slant the ground like that in hopes that Omaha will slide into the river.

Well, except for the International Alliance for Fair Treatment of Bald & Balding Men (IAFTBB).
Dude, we should totally start this. Other than Jason Statham and Bruce Willis, us bald guys have it rough.
Your fearless leader.
