  1.

Well I'm guessing we will be hearing about another departure soon:

@Tjawtherula: Damm yo. Squad just crumbling one by one. All the best to my brothers moving on and for the rest lets eat #huskerhoops

when did he post this? I can't find it on his twitter, wonder if he took it down.
interesting I just checked also and it's gone. He posted it this afternoon

See the Tarin Smith thread. He's gone.

  2. Transfers don't really surprise me anymore, but Tarin looked like he was on track to become a major contributor here for the next few years.

Is there something else going on behind the scenes that we don't know? This strange season has turned into a strange off season.

  3. Did that about a month and a half ago. The party system was awful and I didn't like the controller at all. Sad I sold it right before Titanfall came out, but more than happy that I'm back with PS4 with PSNow coming this summer. Infamous Second Son looks great and stoked for the free games I get each month as dont starve and Outlast are both awesome.

Haven't bought either yet but I've always been a xbox guy and the controller is the biggest reason for me hesitating to make the switch to PS.

Was a XBOX and XBOX360 owner. Went with a PS4 this time around and the controller is great. The L2 - R2 buttons are much more "trigger" like than old PS versions. I agree with what has been posted. BF4 is a great game with some issues (serious at times, but usually not bad). NBA2k14 is pretty good.

  4. I wouldnt mind seeing him go out the way he came in. The guy was one of the fastest i have ever seen his freshman year... i had to pick my jaw up off the floor a couple times. His speed was unreal. I remember ESPN did one of their sports science features on his burst.

That injury definitely slowed him down a step.

  5. Not only is it a dumb tradition, it's not even our tradition.

    Double whammy.

Yeah, cause sitting there with our thumbs up our a$$es is so much better?!

Wouldn't be my first choice, but at least it would be original.

No. That would be the opposite of original. We usually have 75,000 strong doing the "thumb up ass" technique at home games.

That's at the end of the first quarter. Usually by mid 4th quarter 25,000 of those folks take their thumbs out to look for their keys so they can "beat the crowd" back to Omaha.

  6. It's hard for me to engage in this conversation. And equally hard NOT to.

Osborne was nearly run out of town in 79', and blah blah, you know the rest.

"Osborne has done OKAY-----BUT he is certainly NO Devaney . . . "

I don't want that mistake to happen, as it very clearly could have back then. I, too, want to see our team doing better, especially with the blowouts. We played terrible today, too.

BUT, I am still of the mind to give Bo two more years. I like what I see coming up in our young guys. If he can't get it done with Armstrong, Cross, and the other VERY talented young guys by the time they are hitting their junior or senior years, I am all for moving on.

I long for the days of old, when a coach, if promising and winning MOST of the games, got the better part of ten years or a tad longer to really show some serious progress. Maybe I have rainbow colored glasses and a poor memory, though.

Do you also remember when folks walked three miles to and from school... in 2 feet of snow... both ways?

Now we soccer moms that drop their kids off in climate controlled 4wd SUV's, assuming school doesn't get cancelled.

The college football landscape has changed DRASTICALLY in the last 10 years, and yet we hear people refer back to the old days. We can change and adapt (Pelini has failed to do so) or we can be left in the dust.

  7. I miss the days of the players having fun. That 08 season wasn't so bad because the players (and fans) all believed in the "process." Anyone see the Andy Reid gif of him being the koolaid man crashing through the wall? That team is having fun and they're a pro team. Today was a game for Nebraska to come out fired up (we play better on the road right) and just go after a lesser team. I'm beyond disappointed. I'm just like the team...disinterested.

This is the scariest part about the whole situation.... and there is plenty of evidence that you aren't the only fan. Frankly, I consider myself a diehard fan and I feel pretty disinterested as well. It's depressing.

  8. End of season. But start swaying Frost now.

Stop with the Frost love. We need a proven HC. We have no idea how Frost would do as a HC... same as we had with Bo.

Frost has a bright future, but no more "giving a guy a shot" sh!t... I want proof that the leader of the team will have all facets of the program disciplined and focused.

  9. I agree, he looked good flying around. Mistakes were made, but that's to be expected. Agree with the Rose comments as well...

Just wait until they fully "understand" the defense... they will play slow like the rest of the defenders that have been in the system a couple of years. :-(

  10. What about this center from Oklahoma. Did Oklahoma not want him anymore after he committed , or did he really not want to play there? I havent seen any film of him, but he just doesn't look like a big time athlete. Not because he is white either, just looks like an average joe from his pic. Anyone seen any film on him?

He's fairly skilled and much more fluid compared to ubel. He's the highest rated nebrasketball recruit since rivals came to existence. He is actually (barely) on the rivals top 150 list. Huge get, actually.
