I said that he advocated Texas's right to secede, not that he advocating actually doing it. He's said more than once that Texas can withdraw from the Union if Washington keeps overstepping its bounds and so on. It's all posturing and grandstanding, of course, but I don't want a president who has ever even thought in such terms while leading one of the states.

I don't blame him. If Mack is going to coach for another 3-5 years, as appears to be the case, and I'm quite sure Mack was honest about that behind closed doors, then Muschamp would've been crazy to say no. As I posted on Shaggy, you never know -- Will could have a heart attack and die three years from now, and obviously his widow and sons wouldn't be destitute, but those extra millions could be the difference between pursuing whichever medical school was their choice, or Julliard, cost is not a factor, etc, and not being able to do so. I'm a UT alum with no kids, and I'd have gone too. I could do a lot just for charities with all that extra money, and I can only imagine the responsibility a parent must feel. Sure wish it would've worked out differently, but best of luck, Will.

Highlight of the night so far was Mushmouth saying how ou isn't afraid of Nebraska's offense when they were going for it on 4th instead of pooch punting (as if Stoops ever does that against anyone). Then the seven mile touchdown run. Epic.

It's by far the nicest venue and it has by far the most seats. If it were in KC or STL, the game would be there. But it's in Dallas. It still provides the best atmosphere for the final conference championship game, which is how it should be.

LOL at the Sooners being a class bunch. Good stuff. It's good that you respect their program, though, as do I. I don't like them, but I respect them. But you should respect our program too -- 2nd winningest team all-time, some all-time great athletes, we've always run a clean program (unlike ou), and you have to respect the fits we've given your team. If you think our fans are worse than anyone else's, well, they're not. Don't let the loudmouthed bandwagon-jumpers on the intertron fool you -- come down to Austin for a tailgate with real Longhorns and you'll be treated well. We're not Ohio State fans by any stretch. And we are NOT becoming an average program! Our winning percentage this season was .417. You apologize to average teams right now.
