Just wondering... this early in the season for both teams... doesn't the stats also reflect who we've both played?
Seriously, who has Nebraska played besides Texas (which you lost to)? Heck, Texas is what? 80th in total offense? They have scored 12, 20 and 20 in their past 3 games (which they are 1-2).
Western Kentucky, Idaho, Washington, SD State and Kansas State??? Big time foes there.
At least OSU has faced Troy, Tulsa, A&M and Texas Tech (top 30 in offense, 3 in top 20). I'd compare Tech to Texas in terms of strength at this point... which OSU beat in Lubbock. Which OSU allowed only 17 points (including 2 shutout quarters).
OSU has faced teams with very good offenses this year. ULL and Washington State are the only sub-par offensive teams they have gone up against. The rest are solid.
So again... what does the rankings really mean at this point? Nothing IMO.
You are facing a very good OSU team in Stillwater, on homecoming. An OSU team rated higher in the BCS than Nebraska... a team that is 3-1 the past 4 against Nebraska. A team with a top 5 QB, top 5 RB and #1 WR.
