  1. Just checked into our hotel in Houston. I am not sorry I went, the their fans were truely nice/hospitiable people and I enjoyed my time with them. Save one Douche bag that sat in section 148, row 20, seat 1. He only lasted one quarter before the Mounties came and took him away. I guess every fan base has a few jackwaggons.

Before the game: 1- Dixie Chicken, an Irish bar, and the to the North Texans for Nebraska tailgate. The Dixie Chicken was all it was cracked up to be. Very cool and awesome old country music. The irish bar was nice, but the thing that got me is that it wasn't busy- at all. And most of the people in their were Huskers. In fact outside of the Dixie Chicken and a maybe two other bars, it just wasn't crazy packed like Lincoln gets on gameday. The NTfor Nebraska tailgate party was a blast.

The stadium. THe stadium itself is just ok. I still have a hard believing that there were 90,000 people there, I guess because the South side is open. The food inside the stadium is horrible at best.

The atmosphere, the crowd was very loud, and the cannon is irritating. But still, people were nice

The game: well, you know how it went. I didn't see the Carl P melt down, but I was listening to the local Aggie station post game when they said that Bo went after the refs and had to be restrained by the State Police. I have zero idea if this was true, I didn't see it eventhough I stayed in my seat for about 15 minutes post game.

After the game: People were nice and polite, not one person was rude or rubbed anything in our faces. But of course you'd be nice too if you were just given a gift.

I am glad you "enjoyed" your time in Aggieland. I know it was a tough loss. Thank you for being complementary and avoiding the F U comments i have seen from other posters on this board. One of the main reasons those places weren't packed is because the majority of the fans are more about the tailgating. It gets CRAZY packed around the stadium. But not as much in the surrounding areas.

The stadium food is HORRIBLE and we all agree.

The crowd never feels as big as it is actually announced. But it WAS pretty crowded tonight. And all the extra seats on the track helped fill it out to.

I am glad the jackwaggon fan was escorted out. Typically Aggies self police the fans. But we definitely have our fair share of obnoxious fans.

Again I am glad you had a safe and enjoyable Aggieland experience. Nebraska fans are the class of the Big 12. I had some great conversations with some long time Big Red fans and it was great. I wish you guys all the best in your next endeavors.

  2. New total announced as of 3:30pm. 29,325 students have pulled tickets for the game. With a little more time left today we might break 30,000. If I am not mistaken that is more students than Nebraska has enrolled. This has by far been the biggest turn out for us in years.

    Good luck to both teams.

This pic is a little dark. But the facilities guys are putting in the chairs on the track right now.

  3. I think A&M will put a few drives together, mostly with the run, and your QB should be able to get some yards on scrambles. But he'll have a long night against our secondary. If NU can avoid the mental errors we've seen lately, it should be a solid win for the Huskers. If not, it could be a slugfest. That said I'm really not too worried about the 12th man. Nebraska has *definitely* played much better on the road this season than at home.

The real question is how NU's offense fairs against A&M's defense. In 4 road games so far, we've scored 56, 48, 51 and 31 (in OT). I say 24 points wins this for NU. If A&M can score more than 21 on our D, I'm a monkey's uncle.

Blackemon (sp?) lit up your hoss corner for 157 yards. Fuller is just as physical. If you go one on one with no safety help I think Fuller has a decent game. But a slugfest is exactly what I expect.

  4. The louder their crowd is, the better we will play. Bring it on.

And Ryan Tannehill doesn't know what's coming.

Just as many players on the team have already mentioned. Martinez said something along the lines that he likes playing on the road because he likes playing in hostile environments with crazy crowds.

Well I appreciate the civil conversation. You don't find that on many fan boards in the south half of the conference. I hope you guys are wrong. I expect Kyle to be crazy. I hope that plays in our favor. I think it will be a great game. If any of you make your way down then I hope Aggieland treats you well.

  5. I'm more worried about the amount of pumpkin pie I am going to eat Saturday night. :woo

I don't get worried about games that I don't play or have no control over. I still find it funny that others do. <_<

A&M's offense is tough but their defense is terrible.

Exactly, same thing with Okie lite and look how that game went. I would put our D up against anyone and like our chances.

A&M defense is terrible? Is that why they were ranked in the top ten in the nation in run defense heading into Baylor? And yes I know they allowed 291 yards to Baylor. But I would say the A&M defense is FAR from terrible. Just ask OU with 1st and goal inside the five THREE times with no points to show for it.

  6. The louder their crowd is, the better we will play. Bring it on.

And Ryan Tannehill doesn't know what's coming.

Oh it will be loud. Quite possibly will be our largest crowd ever. Most definitely largest of the year. With a 4 game winning streak and Tannehill at the helm....Kyle Field will be rocking for sure.

  7. We shut down Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert, Tannehill will be no different. Yes, it will be a very hostile environment, but running the football and playing good defense are what we do, and Saturday night will be no different. We will win comfortably.

Aggie fan here. I will be shocked if EITHER team wins this one comfortably.

  8. Like most football games, the battle up front on both sides of the ball will be the deciding factor in who wins on Saturday night. If Bo decides to let Prince cover Fuller man to man and not provide safety help, the Aggies will have to take some shots against him and hope for the best, like OSU did with Blackmon. Nebraska's key will be how they attempt to cover A&M's slot recievers (Swope/Nwachaku) and therefore how many men they commit to the box. Six or less and we'll attempt to run Gray and Tannehill. Seven or more and we'll try to take advantage of the man to man matchups on our recievers.

Should be an interesting and fun matchup between two talented units.

The slot recievers will be blanketed by Gomes and Hagg, so I dont expect the slots to be a huge factor.

OU took the same approach and Swope burned them for 8 catches, 136 yards and a touchdown. It will be intersting to see if Hagg can can follow him around the field all night.

This isn't OU. This will be the best secondary A&M's QB and receivers will face during their college career.

aTm only had 2 passign TDs against OU. Only one against Mizzou. We should be able to do at least that good. Our pass defense is a LOT better than OU or Mizzou.

OU was a tough game for sure. But the MIZZOU game was with our old QB and before we (Aggies) started this serious upward trend. So I would say that is probably not a good measuring stick.

So why did you only have one passing TD against Baylor yesterday? They have one of the worst pass defenses in the nation.

We didn't need to pass the ball when Cyrus Gray was running it down their throat.

But we had 3 Passing TD's called back on interesting flags. So the stats are a little skewed. And we passed the ball down to the goal line several times to then run it in. Tannehill had 280 yards. Not a bad day passing.

This is my first time here. I like what I have seen so far. Some pretty level headed fans.

I think the two teams match up VERY well. It will come down to who brings their A game on Saturday.

I think the biggest factor I haven't seen mentioned yet in this thread will be the fans. The 12th Man is sure to be on high alert with the #9 Huskers coming to town. Home Field advantage may just swing the tides in this game.
