Doesn't necessarily have to be a big name. It could be someone with proven HC experience at a smaller school with a strong staff that has proven results in both recruiting and X's and O's.

 

We hired someone with zero HC experience that doesn't recruit well and doesn't seem to have the confidence to pick the best staff he can find but rather picks guys that he personally likes for whatever reason. Nebraska will never lose less than 4 games a year with this guy.

 

I actually think we'll lose less then 4 games this year... B1G is weak....

right B1G is weak this year but if Huskers don't fix defense, kicking game and settle TM down, I say we will lose 5 games

I thought we would drop out of the rankings, right now, I think we are about #37. Last week I was so happy to see Martinez make good decisions and manage the game so well. Then last night, he looked so rattled and scared. What's up. Did we play a really bad Southern Miss team or a really good UCLA team? Coaches and players need to keep their heads when we get in a tough game. Bo is not the best role model here.

Just listened to one caller who predicts Nebraska will have a record of 7-6 this year. Said we will loose to Idaho at home, and then go on to loose to Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Northwestern and possibly Iowa. Holy Crap.

No, he is not a good coach but Bo is loyal to him so we are stuck with him as long as Bo is at NE

Totalling agree, the inconsistency that we see from week to week last year may be back. And what the heck is up with our kicking game. I know Maher is not Alex Henry but come on, the guy stinks. We had poor field position most of the game and the field goals he misses are huge. Do we have anyone else other than Maher

I have never felt that Barney Cotton was the best candidate for the job. I know several people close to the program who consider him lazy and that type of attitude flows down to players. I'm sure the players like him, he does not make many demands on players and does not hold them accountable. I don't care if he has ties in the administration, the guy is a loser where ever he is, get rid of him and Watson, We need a new fresh offensive coaching staff..

We were going with a group of 20 people to the Insight Bowl..........now after a quick poll, 15 have decided not to go, myself included. The heck with the bowl selection, I wish NE would decline.

We are going to Aspen instead.

I guess I am worried about Texas A/M game too and I think a lot of husker nation is. Yes, we took care of Locker and Ok State but Martinez was healthy then. Our defense is fantastic but honestly the A&M defense is not too bad either. I was really surprised to see how the Huskers played at Ames and during the Kansas game last Saturday, they did not look good. Every other team put up a lot more points on KS.

I guess I am just looking for some positive feedback from others so I can shake this crappy feeling about the outcome of the game with Texas A M.
