I wonder if the Amish who many use their own language and live in the same neighborhoods think Mexicans should assimilate more to American culture.

None of those cultures were catered to by changing manuals at work, driving tests etc to their language making assimilation less appealing/necessary. There is no reason to do that for hispanics either .

Deportations rose during Obama and illegal immigration dropped continuously.

As an employee, I’m required to check every applicant for citizenship. If not, it’s big problems for me.

I fail to see how your ideas differ from what has been building over the last 10+ years.

The wall proves nothing . As long as desperate people need jobs/housing and employers will hire them regardless of  legal status they come wall or not.  Nobody has actually seriously addressed those issues so the problem won’t be fixed

  3. Mexico is actually getting better after l the money and businesses that have gone there . Partially the reason illegal border crossings are low . It’s more possible for them to get a decent job/ wage down there so they don’t have to risk everything crossing the border

  4. If anyone actually wanted to “fix “ this  problem there are better ways than a wall . Hispanic immigrants are here because big business wants cheap exploitable labor , and Hispanics want a better life . There are an estimated 10-12 million illegals in this country already and actual border crossing attempts ate at an all time low . Fine the living hell out of companies who willing hire illegals, and make everyone provide proper ID to get a job/ housing and the problem will solve itself . If illegals can’t come here and get jobs/housing etc with reiative ease they will go home / stay home all on their own . As long as that’s the case they will come ( I would too ) wall or not !!!

    Thank You...

The whole app monitoring thing reminded me of something that happened to me.  I did not know this at first but my wife had her phone and Ipad linked together and she could message from both at anytime.  One night I was on her ipad messing around and she got a message from a really close friend of ours.  The message popped up saying  " I got them done".  I went ahead and looked to see what it was about and you guessed it,  she sent my wife a whole picture collage of her new boobs.

    awesome

  6. From what i've read so far i don't think and serious criminal charges are going to stick on Mo, but i think he may be suspended or cut from the team. I hope not. because i don't want to lose our top running back . i don't pretend to know the players as humans and i'm in no position to judge them, sad truth is i'm mostly interested in them as ball players. There i said it.

  7. I think all the Warren native american stuff was a way overblown, dumb, thing that doesn't have any bearing over whether i would vote for her. I'm sick of people like Trump beating things like this to death and making them far more important than they really are. I want to know a candidates policies/agenda, and their chances of  actually getting things done that i want done. Too far left i think wont work, and too far Right, i hope they don't get their agenda passed as i support none of it.

The idea that life doesn't begin at conception is also not based on science. So the idea that life does not start at conception is based on what? Morality?

That's the real challenge of the argument is being able to prove it one way or another scientifically undeniably, and I'm looking forward to that day!.... But in the mean time, I'd simply be glad for a few concessions from abortionists. Because right now we're trending in the direction of abortion up to the moment of birth like in NY, the moment of conception is barely in the conversation anymore.

"life" is the word that the whole argument hangs on . At some point in the pregnancy a microscopic sperm and egg combination becomes a separate, self sustaining entity we call a human being, and killing it should be considered murder. I don't think that point is in the early amoeba stages, and neither do most scientists, but i damn sure wouldn't support abortion up til birth. Fighting for either extreme is not a good solution to me , that's why i said i think setting a federal fetus viability date and make laws according to that.

I see your point, but that's a pretty dull way of washing your hands of responsibility.

If not for your own religious or moral choices, why would/do you oppose any crime at all, and why is it ok to "force" those personal views on criminals? If not for your own morals and religious views, what part of you is it that causes you to oppose murder of a mature adult? Or theft, or bribery? Or are you simply against criminals being held accountable?

If your unwilling to interject your own personal choices and religious morals "on anyone else", then what society are you helping to shape? Should we not teach 3rd graders that it's bad to steal?

If the kkk started hanging jews tomorrow, would you have any religious or moral objections that would require any forcible punishment?

Morality and religion aren't the same thing. Criminal laws/punishment on the things you listed are based largely on whether one persons actions directly hurt another, and to what extent. Some of them may resemble things that are said in the bible, but the founders were opposed to making laws based on it.

As far as abortion, the belief that life begins at conception is based off peoples religious views , not science, and many of those people want to force that belief on others by banning all abortion. I don't think that's right.

  10. Set a federal point of fetus viability so you take the “murder” aspect out of it  and let the women choose  if they want to deal with the moral /religious ramifications of their choice . Banning abortions doesn’t stop them it only makes a safe medical procedure unavailable and forces women to other even worse alternatives . I’m Firmly against forcing my religious or moral choices on anyone else .

  11. I’m an older guy I remember Husker games back into the 70s and I remember the dominant years for sure . At those times I was working all the time and raising my family no time / money to go to games though  . I’ll agree there haven’t been great seasons for many years but there have been some bright spots , great players , and great games along the way . Some of those were very  “fun” for me .

Do you drive on roads? Did you go to K-12? Do you have kids that go/went through K-12?  Does the existence of the military protect you? How about the fire and police departments? Have you ever visited a national park that was maintained? Been to an airport/ridden on a plane? Consumed clean water?

Yes and with the exception a massive military spending i think its money well spent. My problem is more with medicare and social security taxes that many people in power are trying to make sure i never get anything in  return for.  I want that money (or more) used to fix social security and provide medicare for all.

It seems like she just talks up the progressive ideas and rolls with it.

Climate change and going green is good for everyone. Medicare for all is good for everyone. Paying everyone to live is good for everyone. We just need a way to pay for it all.

They could just use some of the thousands of dollars i pay in taxes every year, to do some of those good things for me, instead of using it mostly for thing i don't care about. Hell id even be open to paying a little more into taxes if i actually got something in return for it.
