Chubba Purdy is the best QB on the roster.  He made some nice throws into tight windows, and he's a lot more mobile than people gave him credit for.   He made some bad decisions,  but he still took much better care of the ball than Sims or Haarberg.

It's clear that QB wasn't the only missing piece of the puzzle.   We need to address O line and WRs, and we need Satterfield to stop forgetting that we need to address those positions. 

As good as our defense can look at times,  we're in deep trouble anytime the opposing QB isn't pressured immediately.  Our secondary just can't maintain coverage.   

There isn't a team in the country who has a better game plan for beating Nebraska than Nebraska.  Whether it's turnovers, missed field goals,  bad play-calling, or bad clock management, we still find ways to lose.

We don't remember what it takes to win because we haven't seen it in so long.

Exactly.   The score doesn't matter,  but it would at least let people watching that the team has some self-awareness.

Nothing about this team inspires any confidence.  When our back is against the wall,  the only sure bet is that we're about to get our heads bashed against it. 

4th and 16?  Might as well kick the field goal and at least be 3 points closer. 

Not thrilled that we're going into OT with the way things usually go for us,  but it's better than losing in regulation.

Secondary needs to be a major focus for recruiting/the portal.  We need guys who can cover.

Up until tonight,  I was impressed with how few tackles our defense was missing.

If there's one thing Nebraska does better than any other school in the country,  it's falling apart. 

This game was a painful reminder of how far away we are right now talent-wise.  Our defense is supposed to be our strong suit right now, and Michigan played like they weren't even on the field for most of the game.  

Jeff Sims should not be in a role that requires him to pass or hand the ball off.  If he can't make plays as a runner, he can't make plays period. 

Our backup QBs are actually worse than Sims.  I have no explanation for how such a thing is possible. 

Our defense is forced to do way too much because our offense continues to put them in unwinnable situations.

He shouldn't and doesn't deserve to, but he will. 

Sims doesn't want to be there.  It can't be any more clear.

Is Danny Kaelin eligible yet?  Sims needs to find a new job.

It was never a question of who the better coach is.

 

The problem is an outgoing black guy wouldn't go over well in Nebraska.  

The TCU team we watched yesterday didn't look like anything close to the team that played for a natty last year.  They were drastically overrated at #17.  

Jeff Sims reminds me a lot of Adrian Martinez.  I don't mean that as a compliment.

The offensive line reminds me of a turnstile.  Obviously, I also don't mean that as a compliment.

We find a set of plays that work one drive, then abandon them the next drive.  Satterfield must've learned from the last 5-6 offensive coordinators we had.

Our defense shows promise and actually appears to have made effective halftime adjustments, but any opposing offense that can get Hartzog on an island is going to go after him (and probably do so effectively).

I was hoping to see a Nebraska team that didn't look like Nebraska tonight, but I didn't.  New players and a new staff, and we still found ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Someday, Nebraska will have a quarterback.  

Not today, but someday.

Hartzog got taken to the cleaners again.  Is he just not fast enough?

Eyyyyyyy, there's a sack!  Only a one yard loss, but it's something.

That series was a wasted opportunity.  We were moving the ball by keeping it on the ground and using misdirection last drive, why did we try to get cute?

After the incompletion on 2nd, being conservative there was definitely the smart move.

Welp... knew that play was going nowhere as soon as Minny showed blitz.

Nice snag there!  Didn't get much yardage out of it, but better than an incompletion.
