  1. If Atewe verbals I think Atewe will be the starting Center and Walter will be the starting PF. Mr Smith would be the backup center and Rivers the backup F. Could also work it like a 3 man rotation between the 2 positions where Atewe&Walter would be the main 2, and Rivers & Smith would be the 3rd piece in that rotation, and who would play would be dictated by matchup or need in that game. If Matthew does not sign then I see us going with a 3 man rotation with Walter at Center and Rivers at F. Smith would be the guy rotating in.

  2. I beg to differ that their football program is superior to ours. I think it's about the same. I am probably arguing about semantics here. Our program just like Wisconsin's is a top notch program. Sold out stadiums, excellent facilities & support , Programs are makes money. Excellent traditions. Each will stand the test of time. They had an edge in coaching continuity but now that's changed. They have had more success on the field lately, but last year even though they won the B1G game, I wouldn't call them conference champs unless you put an asterick on it. They struggled due to some losing some coaches and now they have some more turnover. On the other hand I think they made a good hire.

As far as a rivalry I think it will be a great one and probably moreso than Iowa. Time will tell though.

  3. Bill bratzke is coming. A ten foot monster

    Runs a 4.2 40

    Squats 1,000 pounds

    Benches 800 pounds

    He breast feeds John Madden.

Thanks a lot. eyeswear2allthatsholy That image will haunt me for rest of my Huskerboard life.

Nebraska needs to make some hay at the spring game. I think we need to push a little harder for early commits.

  4. I don't like it. Very similar to big 12. All the states with population and the most recruits are in same division.

I completely agree and thought that wow this will turn out just like the Big 12 was for us, but the Crossover game may help TBD.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Call me skeptical from past Big XII experience but I am nervous with both Michigan and OSU in the same division. I know the Big Ten does a much better job of not bowing down to certain teams. But, this much power concentrated on one side of the conference might not be good.

Agree. I wish we had one of the Michigan teams and give them the Illini.

  5. Serge could benefit the most from a redshirt, but I don't think he wants too. It's unfortunate as he really could use that year to get bigger, stronger, better conditioned and tougher. He should of done it this year. He has good skills just needs to get physical and aggressive. As it is he's at least 2 years away yet.

  6. As it stands right now..my guess.

    Pitchford, Serge

    Petteway, Rivers

    Shields, Fuller

    Gallegos, Webster

    Biggs, Hawkins

    Redshirt

    Parker.

I am sure I will change this after the spring signing period and probably a hundred times between now and the opener. :) Currently went with the most athletic guys balanced with experience. Got to say the bench really has a lot of shooters on it and looks pretty deadly. Line up would look really tough with a couple of rebounds & post defenders. Maybe Maric can come back as Larry Sandcastle, a new juco transfer from a tiny island between Australia and New Zealand.

I could easily see Gallegos coming in off the bench to lead that second group with Rivers.

I have to give the edge to Biggs to win the starting PG spot. He can break down a defense and while reports are that he has to work on defense, I think he still will have an advantage over incoming freshmen in regards to defense. He would be hard to beat athletically.

  7. Maybe there is a good chance of getting Russell in 2014, which give us a 3-4 yr. player or maybe grades are a issue?

we will not be getting a 5 star kid anytime soon if ever.

I wouldn't say that. It may not happen in the next few years, but if the coaches can keep improving the players the way they have been these players will see an opportunity to be the "Man". This is how K-State became relevant I believe?

Huggins used his time between jobs to gain some advantages with some kids. He also hired the AAU coach of a certain player. IMO that's how KSU turned it around so quickly. IMO They cheated or work the shady areas if that's how you want to call it.

  8. Went to the Iowa game with my kids in tow

Great game- at least the second half

Once again, had to use the ONLY ticket booth that took coupons or credit cards

Was told at the Kiosk ONLY the ONE ticket booth at will call can take credit cards or coupons

SO we wait in the line with little kids in tow

Get to the front of the line- sure they are able to help us

I HAD CASH because I KNOW the kiosks wont take credit cards

When I asked why they didnt the lady says 'it takes a special machine" to take credit cards

No sh#t Sherlock and EVERYONE including my TINY small business takes credit cards

The machine costs $30 a month- I guess that is TOO MUCH to ask for a DI basketbal program

The table at the willl call window looked like something out of a CYO league- about $2,000 in small bills spread over a card table and a bunch of trash everywhere

    What a joke

Why I bother going is beyond me- its not like they are top 20 or anything

    Parking stinks too

Second rate- POOR:LY managed- SIMPLE to solve

Whoever is in charge of that should be fired

Send your suggestion to the new A.D. Sounds like an easy win for him and the fans.
