  1. BUT WILL HE JOIN A FRATERNITY AND WHERE WILL HE TAILGATE!!!!!111! that is the real question here
  2. More from the big ten network. Where is the best tailgate spot, and who has the biggest and best tailgates in Lincoln?
  3. well the word just came down from my boss we're not shooting at any bars so what other things are there around lincoln, touristy places, or things of historical significance
  4. I'd grab an ice cream cone and sit out by Broyhill Fountain. Just watch the world go by for half hour or so. Then you could head over and catch the Cornhusker Marching Band Pregame Spectacular. What are some of the other pre/post game festivities and rituals that are really big with the students?
  5. More stuff for the big ten network, for the same show we're making a list of the best places to visit before and after Husker games, bars, restaurants, or really anything you can think of, and let me know about any personal favorites and hidden gems, that you think are great spots.
  6. I know there is a small sample size for these games and I am no husker football expert, but message boards like this one are a great place to do research because this is where passionate and knowledgeable fans talk about their teams, I am a research intern that gets these types of tasks, I really don't care if people believe me, I just want to gauge what the fans think about these particular match ups because we are doing a show called tailgate 48 where we will be filming the tailgates for 9 big ten games each at a different stadium (the Nebraska home game will be oct 8th vs OSU) and a segment will highlight previous match ups, nebraska will also be featured as the road team twice and any fan input is helpful. i know few if any fans will remember games from 50 years ago, but some of you maybe football history buffs and know a thing or two about it
  7. Well I'm back doing more fan research for the big ten network and this time I'm looking for what you guys think of the historical match ups of the games that the huskers will be featured in this year. In the show I'm working on we will be traveling to 9 different games and Nebraska will be involved in 3 of them at home against OSU and on the road at wisconsin and PSU, so think back to any games played against these teams that you find particularly memorable
  8. here is the list, I know some great ones are missing, but that was inevitable because there can only be ten on the list, also we tried to avoid being redundant with the top ten plays list, so if it was a play that made the game great (suh pick, henry kick) it was left off the great games list. here is the list in no particular order please take the poll pick up to nine games and based on that i can determine the order 1959 Oklahoma 1978 Oklahoma 2001 Oklahoma 1982 Oklahoma 2009 Oklahoma 1987 UCLA 1994 Colorado 1977 Alabama 2001 Notre Dame 1988 Oklahoma State
  9. Ah. Yes. I see. I should probably stop drinking this early in the morning, huh? It's a good thing that's not embarrassing. its always five o'clock somewhere, but I'd love some suggestions, I love the fresh blood husker fans are bringing to the big ten the conference needed some shaking up
  10. What do you think are the top ten games in the history of memorial stadium? here is your chance to help decide which games will make the list for a show airing on the big ten network, reply to this post with any and all suggestions, and I'd love some throwbacks to the old days.
  11. this is in the fall we will be taping a show highlighting the fan experience at several of the stadiums the one at memorial stadium will tape during the ohio state game, and this top ten will be played during that show
  12. Well thanks to you guys I've picked the top ten plays in Memorial Stadium history for the big ten network, but I still need an order to put them in so you rank them how you think they should be. so here they are in no particular order voting ends tomorrow at 10am 1. Black 41 flash reverse 2. Alex Henery Kick, Suh Pick 3. Marlon Lucky touchdown pass to Nate Swift against Texas 4. Mike Rozier's 100 yard run that went 5 yard for the TD against UCLA 1983 5. 1982 - Scott Strasburger interception to end OU's final drive and sealed the victory for NU 28-24. 6. Nate Swifts punt return against Virginia Tech in '08 7. Prince Amukamara's INT vs. Oklahoma in 2009 8. Harold Hartley's 60-yard TD catch against Notre Dame in 1922 9. The bounce rooskie 1982 vs Oklahoma 10. Will Shields's fumblerooski vs CU in 1992
