We are in the meat of the off week. And we are stil hashing over the loss. And what happend at Michigan State. Le's just float possibilities here. Because at this point, all of them are pretty darn valid. Could it be the case that this line simply isn't as good as we thought? Could it be that the line got its first real test.... and wasn't ready, mainly due to meak out of conference opposition? There is the possibility that the Michigan State offesne isn't that good and it made our defense look good. Can we totally rule this out? Nebraska could run the table from here, make it to Indy and lose big again to Sparty. Or maybe Sparty won't even be there. Maybe it will be Ohio State. Maybe even someone else. Penn State sneaking in as chaos insues. In the West, Nebraska looks to be the favorite, But can anyone rule out NW, Wisky, Minnesota, and Iowa. So many variables are unkown. And Coach Pelini is right. THERE IS A LOT OF FOOTBALL to be played. We get some more information about our team this Saturday, albeit by proxy as we watch Mich State but also Minnesota and Northwestern. Iowa gets back going as well. If Nebraska is going to be in the title game it's going to be a slow thing. Week by week. See what happens. I am not throwing dirt on this team or its aspirations at this point, even when including the first three quarters at Mich State and throwing out the comeback effort. It's going to be a fun wide open race in the Big 10. I am looking forward to it. Maybe we win. Maybe we crash and burn. Maybe it's 9-4 again.
