  1. Ok, not quite "melts" but if you enjoy the misery of others this is the thread for you: BYU 41, Texas 7 Rock bottom was the 2012 OU game. We are still hanging out down here near the bottom. I think it's pretty clear at this point now, we can concede aggy and baylor have passed us up. I thought at the time we made a mistake staying in the Big 12. It excites no one, young men with stars by their name included. Add on top that we haven't had a offensive identity worthy of the name in years when that's the biggest single selling point in college football right now. We basically have no cache in the minds of current recruits, and $$% like tonight doesn't help We haven't hit rock bottom yet because we haven't faced the best teams on our schedule yet. We still have OU and Baylor to play. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I doubt our Veruca Salt fan base will Charlie the time he needs to right the ship because he's not Saban or Harbaugh or the other pie in the sky candidates "we should've gotten" because WE'RE TEXAS DAMMIT. WE DESERVE WHATEVER WE WANT BECAUSE WE INVENTED FOOTBALL. Tonight is what we deserved because the $#@!ing $#@!sucker who put us into this position was asleep at the wheel for 4 years. He coasted for four $#@!ing years recruiting safe picks like Tyrone Swoopes and Case McCoy. There's absolutely no reason why Texas shouldn't be like Baylor and be able to sub in a QB worth a $#@! at a moments notice. But we are because of one man, $#@! YOU MACK BROWN. And now Charlie will have to get his ass handed to him because he can't magically fall into a Johnny Football situation. God, I hate our fan base. That was a complete $#@!ing embarrassment. $#@!ing pathetic on all counts. Source [prediction for season record:] 4-8. It won't be close to last year. 1st we are just butt dumb stupid. So many mistakes. Stupid mental mistakes. Quit running the ball out of the end zone. Just stop. Horrible play calling since the 1st quarter. We got totally owned. 40-7 or something like that will be the final. More embarrassing then last year. Very disturbed with the loss last night like most fans. Although I didn't agree with the coaching change here but I have supported the move due to my loyalty to the University. We should NEVER get pantsed at home like we did last night. As others have alluded to our recruiting has been pretty good. I will continue to support my team but I hope we make big changes or we are in major trouble Source What's the excuse we're going to use now? Blame this year on Mack? we could be looking at a 4 win season, and thats not even worst case. The game got a lot better when I turned off the audio, turned on some Johnny Cash, and broke out the good scotch. Well, we finally have a playoff system now for college football. Perhaps next should the implementation of a mercy rule. There should be no such thing as a rebuilding year at UT. This level of play is not only unacceptable for Texas Football, it shouldn't even be an option. Did not realize we were still this bad Great the announcer made a Brazil Germany reference This is gonna be a LOONNNGGGGGGGG year. Source Virginia Tech 35, Ohio State 21 After starting out 24-0, Urban Meyer is now 1-3 in his last four games at Ohio State. "They did something we didn't prepare for" translation- we got outcoached I'm rewatching it. The Bucks got out coached. For the third time in four games... Ohio State wasn't in a position to take anything for themselves though. VT may or may not have been a quality opponent for Ohio State, the rest of the season will tell us that. Question for you might be, was Ohio State a quality opponent for VT. We have been out coached in 3 of the past 4 games. ...arguably 4 of 5. Too much reliance on Braxtons athleticism and not developing other players Tonight it was evident. Just a major disappointment. It is what it is but at least we get to kick the [Mark May] out of Kent State and feel like world beaters again next week I expected BIG things this year regardless of the inexperience but I am sobered up now and have stopped drinking the cool aid. 10-2? Ehhhhhhh...This is one of those rare (for us) one week at a time seasons. It's a transition year. If we were to get to 8-4 with a decent bowl, I'll be happy. Source If you were thinking championship this year I know you were just dreaming..lets get real. Losing to a sorry @ss VT team who hasn't beat a ranked opponent in like 50 years, at home...unacceptable This team with Braxton wasn't going to do anything. The coaching is completely clueless, the oline can't block, the running backs and running plays lose yards, the receivers can't get open, no separation and they can't catch. The only good thing is the B1G is at the same level as the MAC and we could still win the conference. did you really expect us to lose to VT at HOME by 2 TDs? Against MSU, maybe but ranked VT?? Source (Various) So does Urban's Seat get hot?! I know he has a great B1G record, but we should beat an unranked ACC team everytime with the way he's recruited. Our vaunted speed backs and d-line completely dissappeared tonight. How about our wideouts with all that speed. Sorry, just very upset I guess. I think Urban's seat is warm. He doesn't have one signature win as the Buckeye head coach. His most important win so far was the one point victory in East Lansing his first year. Hardly epic. If we don't win an important bowl game this year or beat an SEC team in a bowl, he's got one more year to show something or, if he shuffles the staff, maybe two. As a program, I'm embarrassed at our last 2 losses. Those are 2 programs who usually fold like a cheap chair but against us look stellar and spectacular. Losses 3 out of last 4.....to MSU, Clemson and VaTech to boot. Mot bad teams to be sure but not elite. Meyer probably only wants to be here 8-10 years. Hebetter start firing the bad coaches and hiring good ones if he wants to be remembered as one of the greats at OSU Source Notre Dame 31, Michigan 0 So who is the next coach going to be? Anybody you want outside of Harbaugh or Miles? I see no way that a current head coach would want to come to Michigan. Can't be an attractive destination to anyone who cares about their reputation. The only benefit is that Brandon would pay an obscene amount for an average coach. Probably get some coordinator. Maybe Nuss is the best we can do and he just led us to our first shutout in 30 years. first time in my life I'm thinking about cheering for osu ....just to keep the BIG's nose above water ..., It'd be different if we were actually good. If we had any shot at being a good team, The B1G blows, and Michigan is a middle of the road B1G program. What does that tell you about how far we are from actually being good? We just got shutout 37-0 by an average ND team, who may not win more than 7 games this year. Dude it's over. I hate to make this comparison but winning the big ten this year is literally like winning the special olympics. If any team (I'm expecting it to be MSU) wins this conference the chances they get picked for the playoff are slim to none. There is no way in hell we are winning this garbage conference this year. I said this earlier (after the Iowa and Purdue etc games) "If Hoke doesn't win 10 games this year in this garbage conference that makes us garbage for losing to garbage.'' And it's true. I didn't even have any idea what was coming later on in the day. We. Are. Garbage. Source If Hoke REALLY loved Michigan football....He'd step aside when the time is right, and a suitable replacement is found. Its not like the cupboard is empty for the next regime. Just sayin, Id roll the dice myself, before the ND game, I wouldnt have, but now, no question. It sucks that we have become Indiana. On the worst overall performance I have EVER witnessed in my 37 years on this planet. No effort, no heart, no emotion, and yes, no headset. You surpassed even the worst that I saw come from the RR camp, by far. You are soft, your staff is soft, which rubs off on your team. Thanks for the most embarrassing loss on National TV I have ever sat through. What an absolute joke of a performance. Just a total train wreck. I cant think of our next win on our schedule. There have been 6 home games since 1992 (Colorado in 1994, Virginia in 1995, Wisconsin in 1998, App State in 2007, UConn in 2010 and EMU in 2011) where I have not been in attendance. Saturdays to me are supposed to be about Michigan football. This is the first time in 23 seasons as a ticketholder that I'm strongly considering bagging out on the season. Were we the only BIG team not to score yesterday? Friggin awesome! I just checked, Yep Source How irrelevant will we become??? Without the homer blinders, I think its pretty obvious that we are slipping in the cfb world. Our conference is weak and we haven't been respected as a program for a decade plus. Michigan is quickly becoming a skeleton of what it once was. How far does this go? We got our asses kicked tonight and I there are still no answers! At what point do we ask if we have lost the ability to be a dominant force in cfb year in and year out? We. Are. Pathetic. Hoke Is......completely obese and worthless. I hate when I am already looking forward to next season and it's only September. Sadly this is becoming routine. For all the talk of camaraderie, growth, improvement, aggression, etc - this is the same team of losers I've been watching since the Carr era ended. Source
