I got some news for everyone in here. my buddy works for #ESPN in New York City and they are working on Game Day commercials this week. One of the songs is licensed by The University Of Nebraska entitled, 'Dominator'. The University is using it all season long and ESPN received rights the song to use within their own programming / commercials and highlight reels. The song is electronica based and very similar to something skrillex would do(according to my friends in NY). He said the song was AMAZING and done by a Nebraska alum. The song was also used to preview the new uniforms at a press conference I am told. If anyone has the song, please post! thanks in advance. Minnesota's baseball coach John Anderson is at it again, but this time, he's making (some) sense: By now we all know about the B1G-only limitations on scholarships and over-signing and the supposed philosophies that surround these ideas. But he also goes one step further, and advocates that we should not only apply the same over-signing rules to all schools, but increase the number of scholarships available per team (something other coaches have asked for as well). Of note: There's a lot more covered in Jim Ecker's PerfectGame.org article, located *here*. Granted, this is an article about Minnesota's coach, but he's echoing statements that we've made here (save for his whole 'northern league' crap). Do you think any of this will gain traction with Delaney and Co (read: remove over-signing rules and instead lobby for them at NCAA level), does Delaney and Co. just not give a **** about baseball, or is the truth somewhere in between? -
I hesitate to post this because...well...mainly because it came from the OWH and Dirk Chatelain, but I saw this interesting link in his "Mad Chatter" column: And the Baseball America column has this to say about Sparty being picked over Wake Forest: I guess the question is, do you think we were close to an at-large (likely determined by Big 10 Tournament play), or is Dirk just trolling his readers (again)?

To take a page from huKSer's book, I'm getting a jump on this thread to make sure the title is right. CSU Bakersfield Season Stats: http://www.gorunners.com/fls/13300/stats/baseball/2012/teamcume.htm Didn't realize CSU Bakersfield going to the WAC in 2013. Good for them. SOS for CSU Bakersfield is 175, their RPI is 163. Nebraska has a SOS of 97, with a RPI of 53. I have a feeling that this series and the Creighton win will help the Fighting Erstads get over their blues from losing the Purdue series.

After improper voting and ballot-stuffing, ESPN has revealed they will restart their ESPN College gameday vote. The winning school will get to film a commercial at their school. Voting is limited to once per day (hopefully for real this time) and will start May 1. All-- Just saw this when doing my routine search in my DVR guide for all things Nebraska--BTN is going to show one of the Nebraska @ tOSU games on April 17th at 3:00pm via their 'Student U' broadcast initiative. I have no clue which game will be shown or recorded, so of course, it's imperative that the Fighting Erstads win all three so we know for sure that the game being shown on delay next week will be a 'Husker win. But just FYI, for all the baseball people.

Thought I'd get this up since we're discussing non-con and conference schedules. I did overlook that we don't play Michigan State during conference play, which could hinder us if Michigan State is as they are projected to be (read: one of top three teams in the conference). *04/11/2012: Updated with info from BTN that they're going to broadcast the Cal State Bakersfield game originally for NET, but flagged in purple in case that info was an error on their part.

Man, I hate bye weeks. I love looking for Husker Football news on the web and this has been a slow week. I did find an article on B/R about what the 2012 Husker team will look like.
