My apologies for boring you with the same intro as the other thread but I think it has some important things to keep in mind. In their previews released today, they gave a Madden-style player rating to every projected starter. I thought it would be interesting to get another take on comparing roster talent. Obviously doesn't factor in depth but it give a decent idea for the guys who are going to be on the field the most (probably). Light blue blocks to the left of the rating indicate player was a four-star out of high school. Dark blue is for a five-star. Of course, part of this rating would be affected to some extent by how the team was perceived to do last year. And it would also be somewhat dependent upon the scheme being run. For example, Tommy Armstrong could easily be in the low 90s if he was in a scheme that was using his legs more and his arm less. And it's only one guy - or one site's - opinion. So it isn't as through as other ways. But it does give a look at current players and how they've developed/performed. NEBRASKA: Offensive Average: 89.36; Defensive Average: 85.55; Overall Average: 87.45
