    Seriously, smothers was always the good at running but poor passer behind Martinez and Thompson. Similar enough to HH. Not as big of a guy but I feel like he had a marginally better passing ability and would do better than HH in this offense.

    This morning on his radio show, Damon Benning gave a good story about Adrian Martinez and when Damon's thoughts on winning the QB battle changed. Damon is an interesting position because he gets access to practices and scrimmages as a former player, but he is also a member of the media, as he has a radio show every morning. Go to segment 3 of today's (August 31st) show, and you can skip to the 14:00 minute mark. Damon gives a very good example of what makes Adrian Martinez such a talent at QB.
