No reason someone couldnt pick it up. May as well just watch it at the Husker Nation pavillion for free. --- The Western Illinois-Nebraska football game on Saturday, Sept. 4 will be telecast via pay-per-view on participating cable systems in the Midwest and nationwide to satellite dish customers. Big 12 Special Order Sports, Fox Sports Net’s pay-per-view division, will produce and distribute the telecast. Suggested retail price for the 6:00 PM CT kickoff from Lincoln, Neb., is $29.95. Additional information about how to purchase the telecast, including a list of participating cable systems and satellite providers, will be announced in the next two weeks. The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. Under Big 12 Conference TV rules, games not picked up for regular television distribution can only be televised live on pay-per-view. Veteran play-by-play announcer Dave Armstrong and former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback/current NFL on FOX analyst Jayice Pearson call the action. The Western Illinois-Nebraska telecast will be the third Nebraska game distributed on pay-per-view. Nebraska appeared on pay-per-view on Oct. 12, 2002 against Missouri and Oct. 25, 2003 against Iowa State. Western Illinois features one of the top programs in 1-AA football. The Leathernecks are ranked No. 12 in the Sports Network top-25 1-AA pre-season poll. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB...00&ATCLID=69130 Quote Link to comment
