Stuntz seeking chance to help team

Recommended Posts

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Stuntz actually had covered kicks in high school.

"I'd go down and put a hit on somebody," he said. "I wasn't Brian Urlacher or whatever, but if I had to I could bring it."

Stuntz already has been tried elsewhere, playing split end as a freshman in 2001 because the Huskers had Eric Crouch. He played quarterback in six games and threw 25 passes behind Jammal Lord in 2002, but watched as the former staff at one point considered moving Curt Dukes ahead of both.
