Recruit Nebraska Players

I don't see to many being picked up by Callahan.

Nebraska Football Coach Bill Callahan opened his remarks Friday at the Extra Point Club with a few encouraging words about recruiting.

Several NU assistant coaches were on the road this week, visiting about 50 prospects, Callahan said, as Nebraska continued to practice before the first open date on its schedule. Eight recruits are scheduled to visit Memorial Stadium next week on official visits to watch the Huskers host Kansas.

But amid the excitement over an impressive list of NU prospects who have already delivered commitments this fall, Callahan said he wants it known the Huskers aren't forgetting about their own state.
