Benard
TreKessa LaFleur wants to play basketball in the Big 12 Conference so badly, the Illinois resident recently committed to Nebraska for the 2005-06 season without having set foot in the state. "I heard the campus was real nice," she said. "But I don't know what to expect." The 5-foot-9 senior from Chicago's Warren Township High School will get a taste of the university and what life in Lincoln has to offer this weekend. Meeting her future teammates and going to Saturday's football game are just a couple of LaFleur's plans on her first visit. "I'm ready," she said. "I've been looking forward to it all week." As a junior, LaFleur averaged 17 points, four assists and six rebounds at Warren Township, shooting 43 percent from the field and 72 percent from the foul line. She played at Houston's Langham Creek High School as a freshman and sophomore. More here Quote Link to comment
