Benard
As Barrett Ruud tracks down the Nebraska all-time tackle record, it's worth noting what good health and longevity have done for his pursuit. The senior linebacker has played all 44 games since arriving at NU in 2001. When the Huskers travel to Texas Tech, the Lincoln Southeast graduate will be making his 32nd consecutive start Saturday night. For that, Ruud feels fortunate. "I'm obviously lucky I haven't had the real serious injury," Ruud said Tuesday. "You're going to get your dings. I've had those. It's just a matter of wanting to play through things. It's nothing special, I think a lot of guys have done the same thing." Sitting with 335 career tackles, the 6-foot-2, 240-pounder feels as good as he has at any point in his Nebraska football career. "I'm a little bit sore this week," Ruud said, "but I don't have any real problems with me." story here Quote Link to comment
