DaveH
Reports are saying that the Tangerine Bowl wants NU bad. Even after last nights loss. It was in Shatel's column in the OWH this morning. AR, I will see if I can dig up a link. http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_np=0&u_pg...8&u_sid=1226827 Quote Link to comment

AR Husker Fan
We might not make a bowl. Could be looking at the toilet bowl. So long as NU gets six wins over D-1 opponents, they'll get a bowl. While TV coverage is a significant consideration, even more so is fan support. We tend to think of bowls as "made-for-TV" events, but the reality is the selection committees want teams that will bring fans - lot's of 'em - and boost the economy. Just look at the bowls that don't have a conference tie-in, or have a conference tie-in for only one conference. They uniformly go with a team that has fan support over rankings. Given NU's proven history of fans buying tickets and spending money, NU gets a bowl if it gets those six wins... Quote Link to comment

NU has a history of bringing a lot of fans with them. Quote Link to comment
