skerinks
Hi everyone, I am a lurker who finally signed up. I'm from Mead, Ne, and my wife is from Yutan. It has been 18 yrs since we lived there, but it is still home. A small town in south-central Kansas is where we call home for the last 9 years and probably for good. Anyway, I usually try to make it up to Lincoln twice a year for games, and try to go to the games down here in Kansas. I made it to the Ball State game, and am coming up for this weekends game against the tabbycats. I am bringing a buddy with me. He is a diehard Ohio St fan, having grown up in Cleveland. He is really pumped about going to the game, saying Ne is famous for it's tradition. His dad got a dig in saying "I bet it's almost a good as going to an Ohio St game." So, I really want to make it a good trip for him. But, I need your all's help. What is there around the stadium to show him? I know about the Heisman room, but that's about it. Is there other stuff like that in other parts of the stadium, or is that the only shrine? We will be getting there about 0900ish, so we should have plenty of time to look around. Of course, I have a regular tailgating spot I go to (friends of the family are season ticket holders and always have the same spot under the overpass) where we will hang out for a while, but there has to be more than that, I'm guessing. Any help you can provide, I appreciate it. Quote Link to comment
ohiohusker
Geez! My oldest son is an Ohio St. fan. They Buckeyes have been a little quiet this year. I say they have that #1 "jinx". Buckeye fans are usually obnoxious and I can't stand 'em. I'm sure your buddy will see what real "tradition" is like! Have a great time! Go Big Red! Quote Link to comment
