Nu wrestler out for year

Nebraska senior Travis Shufelt's wrestling season likely is over.

Shufelt dislocated his right elbow in Saturday night's dual with West Virginia, and an MRI exam Monday revealed torn ligaments on the inside of his elbow. He is expected to undergo surgery sometime next month after the swelling goes down in his right arm.

Shufelt earned All-America honors for the Huskers last season at 149 pounds and started this season ranked fourth nationally. Shufelt injured the same elbow that caused him to miss nearly his entire freshman season.

"This injury is even worse than the one he had his freshman year," NU Coach Mark Manning said. "More than likely, he is done for the year."

I seen this on 10-11 news, it was sick! Sad for him as he had a chance for a national title as he was rated 4th in nation.
