Roxy Posted January 22, 2008 Share Posted January 22, 2008 MEXICANO PLATTER: (Makes: 4 Servings) Ingredients : 1 pound lean ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 7 1/2 ounce can tomato sauce 2 tablespoons water Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce (2 tablespoons for mild; 3 tablespoons for medium; 1/4 cup for hot) 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 cups taco chips 1 tomato diced 1 green onion chopped 1/2 cup coarsely grated mild Cheddar Cheese Preparation: In large frying pan, combine beef and onion. Cook, stirring, until meat is browned, drain any fat. Add tomato sauce, water, Lea & Perrins and seasonings. Simmer over low heat 12 - 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon mixture onto a platter and surround with taco chips. Sprinkle tomato and onion pieces around edge of meat and grated cheese over center. Quote Link to comment
