Al Saunders says NO

Recommended Posts

At halftime of the Iowa/Florida game, it was reported that, citing OWH, that Kansas City Chiefs OC turned down the head job. There was a short discussion after that where Trev Alberts made a couple points. One to wonder why Nebraska isn't trying to get the best coaches by basically any means necessary. The example he gave was with Kirk Ferenz. Why not give Ferenz 3 million a year, his son free tuition, etc., etc. Then he said maybe it's because Nebraska is not such an attractive place as all of us Husker fans think it is. Actually Mark May or Alberts did call Ferenz and asked him about the Nebraska position and Ferenz laughed and said not in a million years.

Wonder if Pederson has scared everyone off??

He hasn't been scared off. Saunders made the decision that he wants to stay in the

NFL. With Vermeil possibly retiring in a couple years, Saunders might want to go for

that job.

Some people don't like Nebraska. Ferenz doesn't seem to be any different. I say

FUGG 'EM!!! Someone who dismisses an opportunity like that with such haste isn't

worth anyones time anyway. Leave him at Iowa.

I agree, anyone but Spurrier.

ass ferentz is a jackoff. just trying to draw attention to himself b/c of all the attention he has right now from the nfl. iowa is a deadend job, and will eventually be the end of him too. iowa will never win a natty championship. he is just banging some sorority girls at iowa right now so thiniks he is the sh#t. he'll take some low class job like arizona cards and fizzle like a punk bitch and beg like wacko jacko for the NU job.
