Italian Beef Sandwiches 1 boneless beef chuck roast 1 tsp italian seasoning 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 cup water 1 md green pepper julienned 1 md sweet red pepper julienned 1 glove garlic minced 1 envelope of reduced sodium onion soup mix 2 tb Worcesterchire sauce 1 loaf Italian bread, halved Cut roast in half. Place in 5 qt slow cooker. Sprinkle Italian Seasoning , cayenne pepper and pepper on roast. Add water Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or until meat is tender Remove roast shred meat with two forks and return to slow cooker. In a large bowl combine peppers, garlic, soup mix, and Worcestshire sauce, pour over meat. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, or until peppers are tender Spoon beef mic over bottom halves of bread, put on the top of the bread and cut loaf into sandwiches. Make 12 servings, not very big sandwiches. Hint: if your cut of meat isn't very good, slice your roast thinly instead of shredding it and after you put the peppers in cook for 1/2 to 2 hours on high, making sure meat is well cover with liquid.
