Roy Helu

From journalstar.com blog:

Say hello to Helu

If you weren't doing it, time to put Roy Helu in those conversations about Husker running backs.

After practice on Wednesday, Bo Pelini said: "Roy's a heckuva player. He really does a lot of things well. He's elusive. He catches the ball well. He can run inside or outside. I think he's a tremendous football player. He's having a heckuva spring so far."

With Cody Glenn going to linebacker, it looks like you've got a big three at running back now: Marlon Lucky, Helu, Quentin Castille.

Helu is very laidback in conversations. You'll get no brash predictions from him.

"We all just want to work hard," Helu said. "We all know Marlon is a great player. We just want to help out.

"It's funny. We all joke around. We're not too serious with each other. We don't get heated about who gets more reps or whatever."

Helu rushed for 209 yards on 45 carries last year. Maybe his best game came against Kansas when he had nine carries for a season-high 56 yards.
