IrishAZ
I just read an article from MSN Sportsnet (from a UWV site) that had some interesting insight into the way some of the services work and was curious how the most knowledgeable and thoughtful fans in the world thought. Here's the article's link if you're curious: The Recruiting Game IRISH! Quote Link to comment
Red November
It's just an impossible science. You could never pick out a Jared Tomich. None of those walk-ons would have ever showed up on the recruiting services.. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
It's not that they get lucky once in a while. What hurts the recruiting services the most is the fact that they don't have a crystal ball. WHich kid is going to get home sick. Which kids mother will get cancer, which kid will flunk out, which kid will suffer a serious injury?? As the years have gone, I believe the services have gotten a little better. But it's just to difficult to pick. But it sure is fun to wonder how good the kids will be!!!!! Quote Link to comment
IrishAZ
True that, Eric. It's sort of like Vegas oddsmakers giving parlay (sp?) advice on the radio..."for entertainment purposes only". IRISH! Quote Link to comment
