Roxy
Cherry Slices: 1 cup butter-I used blue bonnet margarine 1-3/4 cups sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Beat all the above together in a mixer. Add gradually: 2-1/2 cups flour pinch of salt 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder. Beat well & spread on a large cookie sheet-SAVE 1-1/2 CUPS BATTER FOR THE TOP. Spread 1 can cherry pie filling over the dough. Using a spoon, drop the reserved dough on top & spread out using a knife. Bake at 350* for 40 minutes. While this is baking, make a powdered sugar frosting. Frost the cherry slices while still a little warm. **This is tried and true..we like this alot. I have made it with blueberry pie filling also..used 2 cans and we liked that too.
