natedoggy9
Barry Collier will remain as Nebraska's head basketball coach. Athletic Director Steve Pederson, mindful of the public discussion about Collier's job status, made the announcement shortly after the Cornhuskers' season-ending loss to Missouri in the Big 12 tournament. Nebraska finished 14-14 in 2004-05. "We are not going to make a coaching change in basketball," Pederson said. "Coach Collier will return next season." Pederson said he did not want to wait to discuss the coaching situation. "There's been discussion and speculation going on," he said. The athletic director praised Collier for his last two recruiting classes -- the current crop of freshmen that include standouts Joe McCray and Aleks Maric, as well as next year's group of recruits. Kansas City Archbishop O'Hara's Marcus Walker heads Collier's incoming class. http://www.journalstar.com/articles/2005/0...f2597401595.txt Quote Link to comment
