Inside it reads (in part)..... "A hearty handshake Sooners, and welcome again to the land of the Cornhuskers! We are mighty glad to have you as our football guests in the Big Six Conference battle on Memorial Stadium sod this November afternoon. We have been friendly football rivals for 35 years....." Well, Oklahoma, you have had some fine teams in recent years and you have been a little rough on us Cornhuskers. The records show that today you will be seeking your fifth straight victory...... Oklahoma and Nebraska have engaged in some spirited, hard-fought football games and the first combat back in 1912 was no exception........ But regardless of the outcome this afternoon, whether it be victory or defeat, the "Welcome" sign will still be out." Quote Link to comment
