Roxy Posted October 27, 2008 Share Posted October 27, 2008 IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU USE A CAST IRON SKILLET ONLY TO MAKE THIS DISH. Original Ranch Roasted Potatoes: 2 lbs. small red potatoes, quartered-MAKE SURE YOU QUARTER THEM 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 packet/1 oz. Hidden Valley Seasoning & Salad Dressing Preparation: Prep Time: 15 min. Cook Time: 35 min. Place potatoes in a gallon size Glad® food storage bag and add 1/4 cup vegetable oil; seal bag. Toss to coat. Add seasoning & salad dressing mix and toss again until coated. Put 1/4 cup vegetable oil in a cast iron skillet and put the skillet in the oven while it is preheating so the skillet gets hot..VERY IMPORTANT TO DO THIS. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Put the potatoes in the skillet and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until potatoes are brown and crisp.. Quote Link to comment
