Roxy
We really like this meatloaf and have made it quite often. I made this last night again..but..used more hamburger...it filled up a cake pan. Preheat oven to 350*. Meatloaf: 1-1/2 lbs. to 2 lbs. ground beef 1 lb. Jimmy Dean Sausage-We like the hot sausage 1 cup milk 2 eggs, beaten chopped onion to taste chopped celery to taste 2/3 cup ketchup 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs (in a can.)..with roasted garlic fresh bread crumbs-I use 4 slices of bread 2 pkgs. meatloaf seasoning pepper to taste Thoroughly mix all the ingredients in a large bowl and put in a loaf pan...I use a cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. I baked mine for an hour because I used more hamburger. You can make a glaze before putting it in the oven if you want...that is good too. Glaze: 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tsp. dry mustard and 2 T. brown sugar. Mix all ingredients well and put on top of meatloaf. Double ingredients if your meatloaf is larger. *I like to put some sliced American cheese on top of a slice once in a while and that is good too...I cut a piece of it while it is in the oven and put some on top of it until it is melted.
