Pedro Guerrero
Dead leg. Alot of kickers can handle both responsibilities nowadays, but it isn't a good idea to let them do it for later in the season. You have to remember they do this in practice as well as a game. It's why coaches even cut them back towards the end of camp for fear of dead leg. And that is with them only handling one responsibility. I get that but like I said if he was kicking off as well as kicking field goals no one would be thinking twice about it and it would not even be a topic for discussion. This year we kicked off 81 times opposed to 41 punts. That would have been 40 more kick if he handled the kickoffs on top of field goals. Does punting really take more out of a kicker’s leg then kicking off does? I wouldn’t think it would but I may be wrong on that one. Quote Link to comment
