HuskerfaninOkieland Posted August 13, 2009 Share Posted August 13, 2009 Henery on watch list for Groza Award Junior Alex Henery has been named to the 30-player preseason watch list for the Lou Groza Award, given annually to college football’s top place-kicker. Henery, best known for his game-winning 57-yard field goal last season against Colorado, has made 90 percent of his field goals (26 of 29) for his career. Last season, Henery was 18-of-21 on field goals. He made all eight of his attempts as a freshman. A 2008 second-team All-Big 12 selection, Henery is 101-of-102 on career extra points. Also on the watch list are Arkansas State’s Josh Arauco, a finalist for last year’s award,and 2007 winner Thomas Weber of Arizona. Saltwater aquarium guys blog Quote Link to comment
