rawhide
I have never subscribed to one of these pay sites. Are any worth the $$'s. Or does one stand out above the rest? I might try one just to be some additional info. Don't get me wrong I love Huskerboard but other perspectives and indepth recruiting info (some good some bad) doesnt hurt! Quote Link to comment
IrishAZ
I've paid for Rivals and Scouts.com before. Truth to tell, the same info was usually available on free sites within a few hours (sometimes even *before* the pay sites). There might be some exclusive, Husker-only sites out there that are worth the coins, but as far as the big pay sites that support multiple teams, the information is seldom exclusive for long. The exception is the commentary, of course. I would say that if you like a particular writer, it might be worth a 1 month subscription in Feburary and August for the recruiting/pre-season analysis. Besides that, I haven't found much value in them. IRISH! Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
like Irish says most of the info is on free sites and the "breaking" news isn't very breaking for long. This board uses only free sites or info from the "professional" sites that is free. Quote Link to comment
huskerstag
As you may already know, there's a free message board on rivals where you can read but not post. It's good for some speculation of upcoming commits and some entertaining banter with fans of other Big XII teams. All in all, to me its not worth the $10 a month to get info you can probably find or figure out with a little work on your own. If you're interested, just go to rivals.com, on the left side click Team Communities, and then go to Nebraska Quote Link to comment
hoyamannn
It depends on what you want. The pay site on rivals is kind of nice because you can watch recruit videos and listen to interviews. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
Thanks Sounds like just surfing for Husker news is the best way. I have a sub to Husker.com but they have content unavailable elsewhere. Plus it is the only way I can listen or watch some of the games. Seems that huskerboard is advantageous because a lot of you listen to other sites. I will continue to be a friendly remora and suck up the left overs. I definitely like the banter and insight offered here although it isnt always my point of view GOSH DANG NABBIT.
