Huskers Honor Larson's Mom, Win Big XII Opener

Recommended Posts

Members of the Nebraska volleyball team sported black armbands and pink ribbons Wednesday night in honor of Kae Clough, the mother of former Husker Jordan Larson, who passed away earlier in the day.

Nebraska defeated Texas Tech 25-16, 25-23, 25-11 in its Big 12 opener.

Clough, a familiar face to Nebraska volleyball fans, said in an interview last year that her battle with cancer -- a fight that began more than five years ago -- allowed her the chance to meet people that she otherwise never would have come in contact with.

“Once you go through it, my own personal experience is you meet some pretty incredible people,” she said. “It’s not a connection that you ever want to have, but once you do, it’s pretty amazing.”
