kramer
Omaha.com As expected, Hardy and ZT have a good feel for each other. Hardy is picking up the offense with Zac's help. Tyrell Spain is also working out with the receivers in the passing league. According to Callahan, Herian is optimistic that he can play this year. Quote Link to comment
kramer
In the Husker Notes in The Omaha-World Herald - Mulkey states that the staff wants the wide receivers to know all the receiver positions instead of being designated to just one position and that is it. Why do you think this is happening this year and not last year???? Is it just a natural progression with learning the west coast offense - is it so complex that having all positions learned last year would have been to much for them to handle. Or, could it be that with Gill teaching the position, there just wasn't enough knowledge or experience from the coach to handle the task of making this happen?? Quote Link to comment

My guess - and that's all it is - is that the radical change in offensive philosophies was more than enough for the receivers and others to absorb in one gulp. Quote Link to comment
craigsker
There was also a recent article in the OWH that ZT has a much greater grasp of the playbook and feels more comfortable and confident than he did even in the Spring. Boy, if he and the receivers are able to hook up we could be for an exciting fall season. Quote Link to comment
Scarlet"N"Cream
CONFIDENCE!! The confidence level between ZT and what Dailey had I thinik will make a BIG difference. Even if ZT doesn't have the big game experince he has I believe as you quys mention is a more true grasp on the WCO playbook and more of a pure passer prototype than what Dailey had. Just the film of ZT is incouraging and I haven't even started with Beck yet! Quote Link to comment
