Roxy Posted October 12, 2009 Share Posted October 12, 2009 Mountain Bar Cookies: 2 cups granulated sugar 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup milk or water 4 T. unsweetened chocolate cocoa powder 1/2 cup Creamy or Chunky Peanut Butter 3 cups Quaker Old-Fasioned Oats 2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract Line a baking pans with parchment paper, wax paper, or non-stick baking pad. In a large heavy saucepan over low heat, add sugar, butter, milk or water, and cocoa powder; stir until melted. Increase heat to medium-high and bring just to a boil, stirring constantly so the mixture does not burn. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter, oats, and vanilla; stir until well mixed. While mixture is still warm, drop dough by rounded T. onto the prepared baking pans. Let sit until cool and the chocolate is hardened. Quote Link to comment
