(AP) The Huskers and Head Coach Bo Pelini have announced this morning they have opened recruiting and auditions for the wide receiver position. Huskers.com posts the following position:

 

Opening: Wide Receiver

 

Duties: Get free from defenders and catch a thrown football. Must be able to evade defenders after the catch.

 

Qualifications: Must run a sub 4.6 40-yard dash and be able to catch the ball. Must understand route running. Must have high school experience ... but regardless ... just try out and we will give you a look.

 

Pay: Free school tuition, personal training and coaching.

The Huskers have had no luck securing the top notch wide receivers desired during the 2010 recruiting cycle and this past week were informed by Curtis Carter, a 4-star recruit commit that he had no intention to suit up for the Huskers due to their offensive struggles this season.

 

Husker fans are bewildered. One Husker fan, SheepdogMark, says, "What the hell don't these recruits see? I mean, holy hell ... look at the opportunity to come in and be the starting WR for the Huskers."
