The exit payment from Nebraska and Colorado to the league has been estimated at $35 million to $40 million. Five schools - Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Missouri - had pledged their portionoffered gold, first-born children, and their souls to Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M to ensure at least $20 million annually to those three schools from the league.
