BigRed29
I was at the game yesterday and man that was an intense battle. I was one of the many who witnessed 8 turnovers last year in Lincoln for my first Husker experience... and I didn't let the loss get to me, because my experience in Memorial Stadium was still awesome. After watching ISU come back yesterday... I was wondering if I was a curse on UNL. Fortunately, we pulled out the victory in the most exciting college football game I've been to. I thought Cody did an alright job managing the game, he put the ball on the ground once or twice, but was smart and jumped right back on it. I thought running the wildcat was pretty effective just for the fact we haven't seen it much this year and it threw ISU a curve ball to take attention off of Cody. I'm thankful that Niles, who has so much potential, didn't cost us this game with his lack of discipline on the field. Overall, with Mizzou losing again, we hold our own destiny and I look for us to win the North. I know I don't post much, but I appreciate the word of Husker Nation and respect the people who run this board and make it the best on the internet. Things that disappointed me as an Iowan though was hearing the ISU student section chanting #!ck the Huskers... or something along those lines, I don't remember the exact chant and the fact that Nebraska was getting boo'd terribly as they ran out onto the field. I can honestly say that UNL's student section showed ISU lots of respect last year when I was in Lincoln and did none of the above as I stated the ISU students doing. GO BIG RED! How were Husker fans treated overall? Do you know? Quote Link to comment
BigRed29
Overall, everyone in my area was cool... but a Nebraska fan got the boot, not sure about an ISU fan for some argument or fight that was happening up above us a few rows. ISU fans were just throwing in smart comments about us leaving for the Big Ten next year when my friend and I were walking around all the tailgating parties going on. Quote Link to comment
